Katy Perry Poised to Make Music History
If her latest single, "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" can top the pop charts, Katy Perry will achieve something only one other artist ever has (and no female has).
Katy already has four No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 hits from Teenage Dream. Currently #4 and climbing, "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" would give her five.
Michael Jackson is the only other artist to chart five number one hits from a single album (1982's Thriller). That's exclusive company, you gotta admit.
The four #1s from Teenage Dream are the title track, "E.T.", "California Gurls" and "Firework." "I Kissed a Girl," from her previous album, also hit #1.
Breasts, elaborate costumes and catchy hooks go a long way.

Well aleast the writer of this article is being very respectful toward michael they not putting katty over mike like other media website arewhich I think is a joke cuz this man bulit a legacy that will last forever. Mike earned his title in the music business he's a highly respected musican among others in showbiz that he inspired. So I like how this article show respect and put katy as the 2nd musican to have 5 hits all number one's in one album but she's not above him . Hey it can happend she could be on her way in mike's level but no body could ever take his throne away as the king of pop so good for her. first thing first...get your facts right...the album was Bad (1987), not Thriller (1982)...thriller had 7 top 10 singles...but bad had five #1 singles...
