His Space: Justin Timberlake Buys Into Social Network

Justin Timberlake: actor, musician... businessman?

The multi-talented star is part of Specific Media, the group that purchased MySpace from News Corp. yesterday $35 million. Said the company in a press release:

"As part of the deal, Emmy and Grammy winning artist Justin Timberlake will also take an ownership stake and play a major role in developing the creative direction and strategy for the company moving forward. Specific Media and Timberlake plan to unveil their vision for the site in an exclusive press conference later this summer."

With Facebook ruling the online world and Google getting into the social networking game, MySpace would not seem to a venture with strong prospects.

But Timberlake is one of the most talented musicians of this generations, one of the funniest SNL hosts of all-time and has dated Cameron Diaz and Jessica Biel, among other. Do you really wanna bet against him?
