I was told by an older Christian women that God would never "make" anyone gay, they choose to be this way and it is sinful. In my opinion she has very little understanding of homosexuality. I firmly believe we are born gay or straight and God loves us either way and wants us to love each other. I really think some people use the Bible to promote their own prejudices.

Even if the Bible says it's a sin, you shouldn't be letting a book- an outdated book that has no place in modern society- dictate your life. One must wonder why a book that is supposed to promote kindness to all people, forgiveness and peace, would write a passage of prejudice and hate, and say that is not wrong. It goes almost completely against Jesus' theorem.

The act of homosexuality is a sin, not the sinner. We are all sinners but by the grace of God the blood of Jesus we are made sinless. It is not our right to judge the sinner but as christian brothers and sisters, we have a right to let each other know if we are doing something that is not right in the eyes of God just as the bible says to confess our sins one to the other. We just need to lift each other up in prayer and ask God to bless and deal with that person the way God deals with each of us, with Godly love and correction as only God can change our hearts. The battle also is in the mind!
