Family, Co-Stars Pay Respects to Ryan Dunn

The Ryan Dunn was remembered in West Chester, Pa., at a private memorial attended by family, friends and some of his beloved co-stars from Jackass.

Johnny Knoxville and Bam Margera attended, as did Knoxville’s wife Melissa, Bam’s parents Phil and April, Philly-area friends and comics Glenn Howerton and Rob McElhenney of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia fame, and others.

While the Westboro Baptist Church threatened to picket the event, the private memorial for the 34-year-old star, held at the DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home in West Chester, came and went with no incident.

Ryan Dunn (1977-2011).

Overseas, the Kings of Leon paid tribute to Dunn at their concert in London’s Hyde Park, urging fans to raise a glass to “a friend of ours who’s passed away.” Caleb Followill said, “This is for Ryan” before playing “McFearless.”

Dunn will be reportedly be laid to rest in his home state of Ohio, with a public memorial to be announced soon. In lieu of flowers, Dunn’s family requested friends and fans to make a contribution to Garth Brooks’ Teammate for Kids nonprofit.

Friends and family of Jackass crew member Zachary Hartwell, who also died in the crash that killed Dunn Monday, will hold a memorial Saturday.

Whenever one decides to drink and drive, if the passengers of that automobile, and/or other drivers, die in a car crash caused by alcohol intoxication, that is indeed called murder, my friends, as bad as it my sound; but the truth is the truth as much as it hurts. And I loved Ryan Dunn, people. May he rest in peace. He and Bam Margera were my favorite characters.

He did not murer his passanger he didnt hold a gun to zach's head and make him ride with him. The westbro chuch should be ashamed of thereselves for threatning to picket! How rude, there are many ppl who drink and drive and there not being treated like shit! Just cause hes famous dosnt mean we need to treat him andifferently!

You never know if he did anything or not. You cannot convict someone of something that your not for sure of. Maybe there was other problems with something other than him causing problems. I own all the Jackass movies i enjoy watching them and laughing. And im really going to miss him.

Conor, I'm pretty sure the passenger knew that Ryan was intoxicated and driving at reckless speeds and did little to deter those actions. He willingly jumped infront of a speeding bullet.

Does no one care that he murdered his passenger? Messed up!
