Well, it may be timeless, but not when your 16, if it is true love let it wait a couple of years!! Geez he is a child molester......It is as ridiculous as Hugh Hefner going to marry at age 85 to a 25 yr. old!! Sometimes it is just to much age difference. And isn't gonna work,......same w/a baby at 16 she is to young!!

This is just wrong in all levels,its gross...what now perverts are going to marry there victims now,so now they can't go to jail where they belong,cuz well there married.The parent that aloud this should be put in jail along with Doug Hutchison.

This whole situation is just wrong I'm sorry no 16, I don't care how mature she/he is knows what true love is and even if they did this situation is wrong! He should be sitting in jail right now not making the headlines for his marriage and her parents should be sitting right along with him for child endangerment.

In some states such a age difference would be a case for criminal court. I seriously have to wonder about the mind set of the "primary" parent who would relinquish parental rights to "give" their immature daughter's hand in marriage to a man over 3 times as old as their child. P.S. The old adage of: I'd rather be a old man's sweetheart than a young man's fool should Not apply in this case. In this case it should come closer to I think I love you, even though you are older, come back,talk to me 4 years from Now after I've enjoyed the company of friends closer to my own age and I've had "the chance" to finished school. I can't believe a 16 even knows true love. Lets hope they don't have kids. My parents were 22 years apart in age and I can tell you a lot about age different when children are involved. My father died when I was 9 and life was tough. I can't believe any parent would accept this child marrying a man who could be her grandfather.
