Slowly, but surely, Clarence Clemons is recovering from a stroke.

The iconic saxophonist, best known for his long-time role in Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band, fell ill at home on Sunday and was taken to a hospital. What is his condition now?

A friend tells a Springsteen fansite that things “did not look good” yesterday, but today…

“Miracles are happening. His vital signs are improving. He’s responsive. His eyes are welling up when we’re talking to him. He was paralyzed on his left side, but now he’s squeezing with his left hand… The next five days will still be critical. But he’s a fighter.”

In case of the worst case scenario, members of the E Street Band were advised to head to Florida as quickly as they could following this incident. Let’s all hope they’ll simply interact with their good friend once they get there.
