Bam Margera Lays Into Roger Ebert Over Ryan Dunn Tweet

by at . Comments

Jackass star Bam Margera lost his friend and co-star, Ryan Dunn, in a car accident early yesterday. He's understandably very upset about this.

It's equally unsurprising that he is livid with Roger Ebert's Tweet about Dunn, in which he wrote "friends don't let jackasses drink and drive."

Bam proceeded to tear the the movie critic a new one on Twitter:

Bam Tweets

Ebert was, for reasons unknown, chiming in about Dunn's alleged drinking just hours before he got behind the wheel and perished Monday morning.

It's unclear how drunk Dunn was, but he was seen drinking at a Philly-area bar before his fatal crash, and was there for over three and a half hours.

In any case, Bam's not happy and is letting him have it. Did Roger go too far, too soon, considering the man just died? Does he raise a valid point?

What do you think about Ebert's Tweet?

So pathetic how many of you are using profanity after profanity, and defending the careless and irresponsible actions of this man. I never like to see anyone die, and I hope he is truly at peace. That said, what he did (time and time again) was to endanger not only his own life, but the lives of others. That is what results when you drink and drive. One person here says that no blame should be placed on Ryan, are you serious? You can't really believe that. He is 100% to blame. Perhaps you are not familiar with the statistics behind DUI and innocent deaths in this country. I read a statistic that on average, one person dies every 48 minutes due to an alcohol-impaired driver. So do some research then flap your gums. There are many people out there who lost loved ones on account of morons who think only about themselves and their right to party and do what ever the heck they want.

Yes, Ryan made a mistake by getting behind the wheel after drinking...which led to his and his friends' demise...but Roger Ebert should keep his so-called negative opinions to himself! This is a time for his family and friends to mourn him and also to celebrate his life! Despite his bad decision!

The real shame is that gets any press at all. Thousands die in accidents every day--- but because the guy was "famous" doing stupid sh*t, it's all over the news. Truth is, this guy knew what he was doing. And being a family member of drunk-driving victims (step-mom & grandma killed by a dd), I can safely say that while I wish no one death, this is a perfect example of "you live by the sword you die by the sword". I just wish that he wouldn't have taken someone else to the grave with him.

I have compassion for the ones who are the true victims. The ones left behind with no father/mother/brother or friend. I have no compassion for the irresponsible who inflict heartache and sadness because of selfish and wrong decisions. Name calling because my opinion differs from yours just shows your lack of compassion for the true victims. I, unlike you, wish no one harm.

Mary, you're a bitch. You obviously have never been in any negative or heartbreaking experience. First of all, The passenger could have said "no dude, you're too drunk." Did he? obviously not. You think Dunn wanted to see how fast he could kill himself? no. You're judgmental and probably no one likes you. And if we're all going to display a lack of compassion for our fellow people here, then Mary, I hope you lose someone close to you for the same reason. You wont be calling them a drunken ass, Im sure. Kill yoself.

Barb-- What I posted is the truth. Dunn made wrong decision after wrong decision. According to his documented driving record he has a history of making these wrong decisions. His last wrong decision caused his death and the death of a passenger in his car. Your comments and name calling are pathetic. Don't kill the messenger, sweetie. The facts speak for themselves. I'm glad no one else was on the road with him when he made all these wrong decisions.

Wow! To all the people passing judgment, I hope someone you love dies in a drunken car crash you fucking knobs! The passenger made the choice to get in the car with him. So Ryan didn't kill him, he chose to go with him. Mary- you are a bitch. I suppose there is not even one person in your family that is a drunk or a drug addict, right? You fucking douche bag! How dare you pass such a judgement! His body is still warm, and the vultures come out...sickening! FUCK all of you! RIP Ryan, and if you can, smight these assholes....

everyone makes mistakes, not all of them are fatal. No blame should be placed on ryan, obviously he did not intentionally wreck, if you people are looking to lay blame somewhere how about the bar where he was drinking, they must have over served him, and probably knew that he was way too intoxicated to drive. As an employee or owner of a bar it is your responsibility to call the police or a cab when you know somebody is too drunk to drive!! my sympathy goes out to all friends and family.

When you sit your ass in a bar and slam down drink after drink then slide your drunken ass behind the wheel of your car (like you've done before) and take a friend with you then drive 140 mph at night down some twisting road in West Chester (like you've done before....has the citations to prove it) that is no accident!!! That is deliberate. When you have a passenger in your car you are responsible for their safety. Dunn made decision after decision to do WRONG. It resulted in his death and the death of his passenger. Dunn is not a hero, victim or great talent. He was..... and died a drunken loser. Too bad he had to take someone with him.
