Lindsay Lohan Somehow Dodges Bullet, Escapes Jail AGAIN in Theft Case
Whatever Shawn Chapman Holley is billing Lindsay Lohan (probably close to $1,000 an hour as it is), she should ask for a raise, because she's a legal wizard.
Lindsay dodged another huge bullet today, avoiding jail in her theft case.
Moreover, she'll be off probation when she completes her community service after pleading no contest to a charge of misdemeanor theft. So effing weak.
Holley entered the plea this morning. Lindsay wasn't in court.
Her alleged necklace theft had already been lessened in severity after Holley proved the merchandise was not valuable enough to be considered a felony heist.
Judge Stephanie Sautner doesn't believe Lindsay's problem is substance abuse, but that her issues are more deeply rooted and she self-medicates as a result.
As a result, Sautner is not requiring LiLo undergo substance abuse counseling or serve time behind bars. She'll be required to serve 120 days for her probation violation, but she'll be able to do so at home with the ol' ankle monitor.
In reality, the 120 days will amount to 14 days due to good behavior and overcrowding (nonsensical since she's at home), but she cannot leave home. At all.
Lohan must undergo psychological counseling and attend a shoplifting alternatives class (seriously, this exists) but after that and 480 hours of community service, her probation will end, meaning she's off the hook for everything.
Tell us: Did Lindsay Lohan get off too easily?

HA! HA! HA! You said "Get Off", just Kidding! Anyways...I support Lindsay Lohan and she is lucky for just this once for not doing jail time, but then of course Lindsay should clean up and get her head straight, get her troubles over with and just stay out of trouble.

She is really ruining her life by doing this to herself. She went from a promising star to a druggie, drunk and now jail bait. I guess being a childhood star is a bad thing to be in Hollywood. She maybe on house arrest but she hasn't learned anything from her previous convictions. If she screws up her 3 years probation they can now legally throw her into jail even after time served on house arrest. If she doesn't complete her community service hours they can also use that against her. What a mess? I wouldn't want to be in her shoes no matter how much money she is paying her lawyer.

I also heard 3 more years probation for her, and since nothing ever happens to her because as she has told everyone, she's Lindsay Lohan, why should she worry. We've seen the probation report and she got to do drugs and drink and the judge doesn't seem to care. So, she's right, she can get away with everything and have a smirk on her face while she reads those oh sincere platitudes while wearing the fu on her nails.

i watched court live and the judge said the jail time spent at home is out of her hands though she does not agree the 120 days should be shortened if at home. again out of her hands. plus lindsay will still be on probation for three years. the probation from before will expire once she completes the classes and community service and jail (home).
