Jon Cryer: Excited for New Two and a Half Men Co-Star

by at .

We already know what Charlie Sheen thinks of Ashton Kutcher coming on board Two and a Half Men. But what about the man who will actually be starring alongside him?

Jon Cryer released his first statement on the addition of Kutcher today, saying:

Ashton Kutcher Red Carpet Pic

"Ashton is an extraordinarily talented guy, and his presence will be an asset to our show. We are old friends from our male modeling days, and we're both looking forward to being judged for our comedic artistry, as opposed to our exceptional physical beauty."

Adding that he's "jazzed" to work with Kutcher, Cryer actually gave Sheen - the man who once called him a "troll" - a shout-out: "I'm extremely proud of the work we've done together, and I will miss him. But I'm also looking forward to this new beginning."

What a class act.

I hate nay-sayers. It never fails, there are always whiners who always threaten to boycott a show for one pathetic reason or another. I'm happy for the show that they don't have Charlie messing up their livelihoods anymore. Now they just have the show to concentrate on and not all the drama. I'm really happy that Ashton is the replacement. I'm happy that the show will go on and that they didn't fold for the likes of Charlie. Charlie no longer holds the strings!!!! Way to go 2 1/2 men! I hope this is a lesson learned for Charlie, and I wish him well.

The show will NOT be good anymore. I do want to make one thing clear. The show will not be the same without ANY of the 3 main characters. NOT because Charlie was the star. It was a true ensemble as far as I'm concerned. And while I'm on that point. Angus Jones should have been paid the same as Cryer and Sheen. Just because he's a kid shouldn't mean anything. He's just as important to the show. Again, if ANY of the 3 leave, the show is done. Chuck Lorre fired Charlie Sheen because he was a drunk and called him some names. From what I understand, Charlie Sheen did his job. If Lorre was really smart, he wouldn't have fired him. Hell, 'call me more names' is what I would have said. The more this controversy continues the more exposure the show gets. But, it became a pissing contest between Sheen and Lorre, and the show that was making everyone millions is now done. Good job guys. In the words of Marcellus Wallace "F#@$ pride, pride only hurts."
