Hip hop star Cassidy, best known for his hit song "I'm a Hustla," has been named a suspect in a murder case AND two attempted murder cases.
Cassidy was arrested in Hackensack, N.J., this weekend on a probation violation. The arrest was made in connection with the alleged crimes in Philadelphia.
He's on probation for involuntary manslaughter.
According to TMZ, Philadelphia police asked local authorities to arrest Cassidy on the probation violation, and even went so far as to warn them "to consider [Cassidy] both armed and dangerous,” saying it was a “high-risk warrant."
Undercover officers with the Hackensack PD followed the 28-year-old rapper, whose real name is Barry Reese, and arrested him in a motor vehicle stop.
He was freed in 2006 after an eight month jail stint for involuntary manslaughter, aggravated assault and possession of an instrument of crime.
