The star of Thor has signed on for Snow White and the Huntsman, a modern day, dramatic take on the classic fairy tale.

The burgeoning A-lister will portray the Huntsman himself in the film, a man hired by Charlize Theron's evil queen to track down her nemesis, Snow White. The movie will likely be released in December 2012.
