@jessica They have daddy drama but I watch every show and I know some of the girls and many of them if not ALL of them do struggle to find money for their baby's necessities yes they have daddy and family drama but that just shows that being a teen mom can cost you your family, friends and your baby will most likely not be part of a family because daddy bailed. I just had my daughter 7 weeks ago and I'm 17 my baby daddy is not around and I struggle to afford things for my baby and my family helps me and then I started watching teen mom and 16 and pregnant and what do you know they are going through what I'm going through!
I had a abortion when I was 16 years old and I am not ashamed of it. I know I did the right thing. Its not for everyone but neither is having a baby so young for everyone. Its not fair for people to say its wrong to abort because people do have different situations and reactions to these things.
@emii Kate: Open your eyes. They need to have REAL girls that are really struggling and nearly homeless that need money to care for the kids that they bring into this world. The ones that they have on them shows have baby daddy drama not where am I gonna get money to pay for pampers or milk.
I think what Chelsea did was horrorable but am not GOD so I am not going to jugde her
But I do think she's right about Teen Mom because that show is telling teenaged girls it's ok to be pregnant because I'll go on Teen Mom and become famous and then i can take care of my baby when the reality is that most girls that sign up for Teen Moms never get picked SMH gotta pray for those girls and stop that show
there are thousands of children in foster care now that because they are not "babies" nobody wants them...lets focus on getting those kids in homes before trying to force people that do not want to be pregnant/have a baby to be farms for childless couples. A baby is supposed to be a blessing not punishment for unprotected sex.
"Regardless of her view on the issue of choice, do you think Chelsea makes a point that teen pregnancy being too glamorized? Discuss in the comments ..."
Did every single one of you just neglect to read that one line... they wanted to know if you think that teens being prego are being to glamorized... Yes..I do feel it is too glamorized...way to much..not ask you to slam someone for the choice she made when she was 16... get that..choice she made, not you... her body...her choice..the day you no longer have a choice over your own body is the day when you give up total freedom...no one says you have to agree with the choice but you don't have to be rude about something that had absolutely not a thing to do with you....are you going to slam a woman whose life will end if she doesn't have the abortion. It is not your decision what another woman does with her body, the only body you have control over is your own.
So wait, we should be ashamed to be a teen mom? But we should be praised for having an abortion?? That doesn't even make sense.
@jessica, excuse me? Teen mom and 16 and pregnant are NOT glamorised maybe you think so because you don't see the full picture or maybe you just see the smaller picture, I believe its called being narrow minded :) its not glamorised it has a lesson behind every story and if you payed enough Attention and opened your mind to the fact that you might just be wrong you would see it and learn from it! Just saying #teenmomsaregoodmomstoo!
I am pretty sure that abortion is not the answer for teens wanting to have unprotected sex...unprotected sex can result in pregnancy, as well as, STD's and that is a decision you make as an adult, or so you think you, when having sex. These children did not ask for you to have sex when you were not prepared to deal with the consequences when not protected, so why should they be eliminated?
How is chelsea stupid for not keeping her baby, when she knew she could never do it. I support her choice. She was being mature, i am sure she weighed the opitions. Just because people do not accept that she had an abortion does not mean it was an adult thing to do at the time. I bet there was trama with it as well. Dont bash her for being honest and letting people know, that these things happen to people, even celebrities. Even thou she could have givin her baby up for adobtion she would have also had to carry it for 9 months, and there is a lot of stress with that as well. there never is the "right" option except use protection(trust me teens are going to have sex), or not have sex at all. n do not even give me that crap that well she souldnt have done it in the first place. I bet you were bent over more than a few times in high school so dont give me that crap. I am a loyal chelsea handler fan. we all make mistakes. She fixed it in the way she found most fit for her.
