American Idol Performances: Fantasia, Jamie Foxx and

American Idol sent two contestants home last night, as it was the end of the singing line for Naima Adedapo and Thia Megia.

But the sad news for fans of those finalists was pre-empted by by a couple of entertaining performances.

First, Fantasia Barrino returned to the stage that made her famous and got the crowd on its feet for a rendition of "Collard Greens & Cornbread," giving a shout-out to Steven Tyler near the end of it. What do you think of this single? Give it a listen here:

Also, Jamie Foxx and teamed up. They got down with a drum line and a series of dancers and introduced the world to "Hot Wings," their song off the Rio soundtrack. Check out the elaborate performance below.

Fantasia looked very beautiful . I loved her hair and outfit and her performance was the bomb. I rewind it 5 times. She knows how to interact with the crowd. Fantasia Iam soo proud of you. Grammy Award Winner.

Bah, Tate obviously isn't very old. As Fantasia said when she introduced the song, it was an "old school" song that harkened back to Motown roots. The outfit and hair were supposed to also reflect the old school vibe. Regardless of whether you like the song or not, it is a tough one to sing and depends on the singer to really carry it. Good job, Fantasia!

You either love or hate Fantasia's voice. I for one, never liked it. Just too much squeeky screaming to me. The RIO number was cute and entertaining. The right two went home and hopefully Paul and Stephano will follow. We need a FEMALE WINNER this year!

Good thing that Fantasia wasn't in this cast of American Idol! She would have never won! I think that she looked ridiculous -- her hair was stupid and that dress was waayy too tight. Not very entertaining,

Fantasia gave a nice performance. Hair/Gown/Peformance all went together. GRAMMY AWARD WINNING FANTASIA.... LOVE IT... Jamie & was nice also.
