Pia Toscano Channels Celine Dion, Remains American Idol Favorite
by Hilton Hater at .Making an apt statement, Pia Toscano chose a Celine Dion classic last night and covered "All By Myself" during the first night on stage for the American Idol finalists.
To many, including the judges, this New York native is all by herself atop the current leaderboard.
Toscano's rendition almost brought Jennifer Lopez to tears, while the audience rose up to give Pia a standing ovation during a soaring, sterling chorus. This woman knows how to sing a ballad, that much is certain. Watch her do so now:

What is wrong with american? The best singer is gone. Not happy with this. I'm so done watching American Idol.
Ray we think alike pia's right up there with Carrie maybe better and i love Carrie. After Carrie American idol hasn't had a real stand out until now, pia love ya good luck girl.
Scotty has the most talent that voice is amazing. I don't even like country music but after hearing him sing "Your Man" by Josh Turner I became a huge fan. Scotty will win.
I think as of now we cannot judge yet 'coz every wk theres an elmination and it depends on how they perform but for me mostly the underdog will win like before. As they perform every wk i think scooty, james durban is good.
Why is it that at this form and others those who do not like Pia or should I say favor other contestants cannot talk about their favorite without attacking Pia? Pia supporters do not attack other contestants, they have no need to do so, Pia wins those battles for them each time she performs. My best to all the contestants........especially Pia. PS. this is a singing competition, not a dancing or instrument playing competition, and thus far Pia is far and away the best singer.
