With Lindsay Lohan working to stay sober and stay out of jail for felony grand theft, her dad has joined Celebrity Rehab for anger management issues.
Her mom, who does not care for her dad, calls this "unforgivable."
"We have tried to be as private as possible during this difficult time, now he plans to exploit our family even more, it is unforgivable," Dina Lohan said.
Don't even ask, because we have no explanation.
Shooting for the VH1 reality show began last week and Michael Lohan’s "treatment" is expected to last for about 21 days. Dina is far from pleased.
While they support his need for rehab, they feel doing it on a TV show is a PR stunt - from Michael Lohan? No way! - and ust plain unnecessary.
"The family is relieved Michael is getting help. Once again, we're all very disappointed by his constant yearn for attention," Dina Lohan explained. She argues, indisputably, that: "Getting rehabilitated does not require the spotlight and at this crucial time, discretion would have been appropriate."
Lindsay Lohan is due back in court March 10 to decide if she will still refuse a plea deal in the felony grand theft case involving a $2,500 necklace.
If convicted of ripping off a Venice, Calif., jewelry store, or of violating probation stemming from her previous DUI conviction, she may be off to jail.
While no prize herself, Dina says that in light of everything, MiLo ought to be focused on helping his daughter or at least keeping it quiet.
She added: "With everything we have been through, he still chooses to put his need for publicity before his obligation of being a father."
