Jenelle Evans: Not Ready to Be a Teen Mom
by Free Britney at .After a bitter custody war with her own mom, Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans decided to capitulate. For the sake of her 19-month-old son if nothing else.
"When he is older, I'll tell him I was really young and I couldn't put a roof over my own head, let alone his," says Jenelle of relinquishing custody of Jace.
The oft-at-odds mom and daughter tandem is working together to raise Jace, with Barbara Evans calling the shots, since Jenelle blows at parenting.

While Jenelle takes few film-studies classes at a local community college, Barbara cares for the boy after working her full-time job at a department store.
As badly as Jenelle, 19, wants Jace back from her relentlessly critical mom, she realizes she's just not there yet. Dumping Kieffer Delp was a good start.
"Once I get a job, save money and have my own place for three months, I'll bring my mom to court," Jenelle says of her confrontational plan of attack.
At least they're getting along well enough to pose for Us Weekly.
"Jace wasn't asked to be born," Barbara says. "Somebody has to take care of him, and it's going to be me. I don't resent it. I love him to death."

She has been saying this for MONTHS. Its NOT gonna happen. She loves pot and guys more than her son. It pisses me off when she does interviews she acts like she's the victim but she is a con artist and is NO victim. Jace is!!!!
I had my son @ 19 and yes it was hard but I raised my son and got a place of my own I didn't choose a man or going partying over my son. Jenelle needs to grow the hell up and be responsible. Nobody told u to go and open ur legs u made that decision on ur own y is it that jace is paying for ur mistakes ur selfish GROW UP.
Ya know I used to think Jenelle tried a little on the first few episodes of teen mom and her mom was being a total bitch. But she chose Keifer over her own son, which dont say anything good for her at all. When her mom cried and begged her to stay obviously shows she cares about Janelle and wants her to become something and a good mom to Jace. I'm glad she dumped Kiefer. Hopefully she can stay away from the drugs stay in college get a great job and get her son. I'm sure if her mom sees she is trying and doing a good job. She would gladly give her son back!!!! I think Leah is the best parent on Teen Mom yeah she made a mistake in 16 and Pregnant and almost lost Corey, but she ALWAYS took care of her children. she lives in the same area and shops where I live all the time. She is a great mom.
Well, she needs to get herself together, and it seems like she's willing to do that. She keeps messing it up, but you can't blame her. Look at the person who raised her! Her mother! Her mother is a bitch. Jenelle is trying and trying and she will succeed eventually. She'll grow up and try to make that poor baby's life better. It's unhealthy for him to live in such environment. His grandmother is crazy and his mother is all over the place. But Jenelle will improve, fight for her child and hopefully will manage to actually raise him as a good person.
Too bad she didn't think of that BEFORE giving herself up. Or better yet, used protection.
