Italy to Jersey Shore Cast: Fuggedaboutyou!
Here's the situation: Italians are far from pleased that Jersey Shore cast members have invaded their country.
The show didn't even start filming in the region until today, but the backlash against Snooki and company has been severe across various publications, with one reader of the MTV Italia website going disturbingly far and writing:
"When I see this, I wonder whether Osama Bin Laden had a point."
Whoa there. Not even Sammi is that annoying.
Verbal grenades are being launched in the direction of JWOWW and Snooki.
In the Rome newspaper New Notzie, meanwhile, columnist Roberto Del Bov wrote of Pauly D and his housemates: "They embody the worst stereotypes of Italians, multiplied by thousands and Americanized."
The country's most widely read publication, Corriere della Sera, went on to describe the reality stars as a group with "slicked hair, exaggerated narcissism, boundless love for the family and outlandish eccentricity."
Exactly! Don't worry, Italy, you'll grow to love these people. So much so, we hope you never send them back.

Of course italians are offended!! The real 'lets have fun' italian Tamarri (which is a 'Guido' in Italian since guido means I Drive) or Coatti do tan and have their eyebrows done but they are nothing like the jersey shore cast!
Partying for Tamarri means wearing a ight shirt with the first buttons open, jeans or colorful pants, and as of shoes we wear Hogans. Or than there are the more truzzi like tamarri which have super highlighted hair and wear bright colours like neon pink or green. They usually wear tracksuits and simple singlets and hats with Air Max at their feet.
You will never see a typical italian 'Guido' wear Ed Hardy, Faith, Juicy Couture and all that stuff...
The famous partying italians are the ones with the classy shirts and all the other stuff I wrote before, the truzzi (the second ones I described) are more of the teenage italians.
If you come to Italy you will never see someone dressed like Ronnie or JWoww...Most of the people in Italy try to dress

PS. I am 100% Italian. On my Mother's side her maternal Mother is from Northern Italy (hence, blond hair-light eyes) On my Mother's maternal Father side, he was from the central region However, on my Father's side, both of his parents are from Sicily: dark hair, dark eyes.
To insinuate that Sicilians are NOT Italians is a flat out LIE !!!!!!!!!!!!

I am 100% Italian & I am damn proud to be too.
What is wrong with slicked back hair (something my grandfather sported back in the 20's & 30's & boundless love for their families.
Yes, Italians love their families, I don't see that as a bad thing.
As far as being called a Guido - well yes, that is what a lot of Italian are & the rest are like Vinny's family (very traditional)

Don't be stupid. The publication is called "New Notizie" and instead of just to think about translating it you actually could have done it. It's more like "The Newest News" or something like that and not what you think.

I'm not defending these abhorrent caricatures of ignorant American culture, but you are quoting a publication called "New Notzie". I don't think the title needs translation and shouldn't be quoted as a widely legitimized publication.
