CBS Responds to Charlie Sheen, Suspends Shooting on Two and a Half Men

by at . Comments

Two and a Half Men was scheduled to resume shooting on Monday. Then, Charlie Sheen opened his ridiculous mouth.

First, he went on a radio show and said all THIS. Then, he spoke to TMZ and challenged sitcom creator Chuck Lorre to a fight, saying:

"I violently hate Chaim Levine [Chuck Lorre].  He's a stupid, stupid little man and a p**sy punk that I'd never want to be like."

Such a Winner

Sheen continued: "That piece of s**t [Lorre] took money out of my pocket, my family's pocket, and, most importantly, my second family - my crew's pocket... you can tell him [Lorre] one thing. I own him."

In response, CBS and Warner Bros. have issued the following statement:

"Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen's statements, conduct and condition, CBS and Warner Bros. Television have decided to discontinue production of Two and a Half Men for the remainder of the season."

UPDATE: Naturally, Sheen has now fired back at Lorre. He's released this letter to TMZ:

What does this say about Haim Levine [Chuck Lorre] after he tried to use his words to judge and attempt to degrade me. I gracefully ignored this folly for 177 shows ... I fire back once and this contaminated little maggot can't handle my power and can't handle the truth. I wish him nothing but pain in his silly travels especially if they wind up in my octagon. Clearly I have defeated this earthworm with my words -- imagine what I would have done with my fire breathing fists. I urge all my beautiful and loyal fans who embraced this show for almost a decade to walk with me side-by-side as we march up the steps of justice to right this unconscionable wrong.

Remember these are my people ... not yours...we will continue on together.

The question must be asked, however: does Sheen have any fans remaining? You tell us!

Charlie Sheen has to be held accountable for his show's hiatus. No one else is to blame or bear the brunt that others will be losing their paychecks. He had yet another drug-fueled siege and then verbally bit the hand that feeds not only his wife, ex-wives, children, drug dealers and prostitutes, but his fellow cast members and his show's crew. His remarks and the ridiculing of Chuck Lorre's name border on the Mel Gibsonesque. This, coming from a man whose father changed his name from Ramon Estevez to Martin Sheen, and whose own name was originally Carlos Irwin Estévez. His recent rants show how very close to the edge he is. I hope there is someone there to catch him when he falls, because at this rate, there is no question that he will.

This show is terrible

Christianity was formed from Judaism. When Jesus of Nazereth was believed to be the messiah by some Jews, they split apart from Judaism and formed the Christian faith. That's the only difference in the beliefs of the two religions. They observe different holidays and different ceremonies. but the beliefs are the same. The same God, 10 commandments etc. To say that one of these religions deserves more respect than the other is ludicrous. Christianity is on the chopping block constantly. Trust that they are very insulted when someone disrespects their God.

Aw shoot Charlie! I am still with ya! We should party with some porn stars some time! :-)

Replace Sheen as soon as his contract permits. There are plenty of playboy types out there. James Franco would do a great job!

The only sure way to get rid of maggots - pour clorox on them!

I don't think charlie is the star of the show he's my least favorite,I think berta and jake are great and when they brought herb in I wonted more, and evelyn and allen their all better than charlies part. The best charlies part gets is when the physcitrist is showing him how follish his little part even is.I. think they should kill him off and leave the house to berta and her hire jake and allen as her

The people that stopped the show are the ones to blame that everyone is out of work. They have more money, more clout, more power than Sheen! They could have worked into the script that Charlie was on vacation or what ever. And let the show go on. They didn't stop the show because of Sheen's personal life. It's the same life he always had. Some guy got personally insulted and like a child had to show Charlie that he's the boss. Chuck Lorre obviously is used to people jumping when he says jump. He probably is a punk.

I wish Charlie would have kept his rage to a written form rather than being so public about it. I also think he needs to realize that bad language detracts from what he's saying and his message gets lost. Charlie needs professional help and I hope he gets it. He's got so much talent that's being wasted and now he's also put the other talented actors/actresses out of a job, not to mention everyone who works on the set. I hope his dad steps in again and drags his sorry ass to a rehab facility that's a lock down so he's forced to try to detox. I grew up in a very violent home with a raging alcoholic who would beat me for no reason, so I've seen what alcoholism can do and the snowball effect it can have. I'd hate for Charlie to continue the lifestyle he's chosen because even with no physical violence his rantings and ravings will have a serious impact on his children. Get help, Charlie!

@Teresa Davis... if the show is about "Charlie's life", when will they start showing his character using blow, banging prostitutes three at a time, and mouthing off about the creator of the show?? I wonder when that episode will air... LOL...
