Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz: Different Marriages, Separate Lives

There was no third party involved and the recently separated pair is said to be splitting amicably, but since Ashlee filed for divorce last week, it's become clear that she was "extremely unhappy for a long time" with their arrangement.
Sources say Ashlee wanted out for a while. Pete had no idea.
Meanwhile, Pete was quite happy with the marriage and had no idea that Ashlee had reservations about Pete's constant touring and erratic behavior.
When Ashlee told Pete she wanted out, he begged her to change her mind, our sources say. Pete has been crying, asking Ashlee to give him a shot.
Sources say Ashlee isn't budging, however, nor is she likely to. A close friend says she feels they've been headed for divorce "for quite some time."
Sad, but hopefully for the best in the long run.

He had no idea and she was unhappy for a long time, yup sounds like they were headed for a divorce. They were too young any ways. They had no clue how to be married. Communication is a key component and they found out the hard way. Better luck next time.
