"It is over," a source close to the couple says, noting that there was "major tension" throughout the show's third season ... who would have guessed.
Another insider noted that the toxic tandem was "barely speaking to each other" by the end, and things were icy recently on Good Morning America.

The couple's romance blossomed in season one, and survived many bumps in the road ... some of which comprised Ron bumping and grinding on other girls.
"I'm embarrassed about what I did," Ronnie Magro said of his antics in Miami, which were admittedly bad, although dating Sammi would drive anyone insane.
As the Jersey Shore Season 3 premiere made clearer than ever, her nickname is a total misnomer, as she is probably THE biggest b!tch in reality TV history.
So who's to blame for the recent split? Eh, who the hell cares. All we know is that he's already Tweeting about "Single Ronnie." Let the Ron-Ron Juice flow.

@Ladybug you makes me so happy!!! Finally someone who recognize what is going on here. SAMMI HAS BEEN REAL! When all of them let her down she didn't socialise cause she is not FAKE like the others. She is so brave to fight that big, ugly dinosaur Jenni who has probably abused thousands of girls (and men) in her life.
They get along when they both arent drinking...Whats that tell you? Both have drinking issues and need to get help with that b4 trying to have a good realationship. Alcohol and relationships do not mix..
It's about damn time maybe now the show can be about something else than a dumb drunk bitch and a guy with stubby arms who thinks he is buff. Now jwow beat her ass lol.
I love ronnie yes he did her wrong but she also did him wrong but wateva sammie she is the sweetest bitch you will ever meet....well in her own way LOL:)i love her too. i love them both and they had there ups and downs but only b/c they wanted there relationship to work but oviosly it didnt. SO FUK ALL THEM HATERS OUT THERE!!!!!!
i liked ronnie until season 2. when HE messsed up. its funny how ppl hate sammie for nothin but when jwow and snookie fuck up there just fine? lol i love everbody on that show but come on. ronnie did fuck up sam bad in season 2. i wish they read this! haha.
