Fox Shoots Down Ashley Madison Super Bowl Ad; Watch Now!

by at . Comments

It may be hard to believe, but Fox actually has standards.

The network will air Super Bowl XLV on February 6 and was recently pitched a 30-second advertisement for AshleyMadison dot com. Deeming it "not acceptable," executives quickly rejected the spot.

How come? The website matches up married individuals with potential dates... who are NOT their spouses. Check out the banned, shady commercial below. It stars porn star Savanna Samson:

Did Fox make the right decision? You tell us...

Yes, that commercial was terribly unfunny, especially for the Super Bowl!
Alright, in the battle of morals, take the theo out of logical and think for a moment. If someone is contemplating signing up for a site like Ashley Madison, they probably have been cheating already, and have the heart and mind of a cheater. This person had this behavior from the start, and probably has attempted to hook up with girls/guys over the internet before anyway. Preventing this commercial will not prevent the fact that approximately 50 percent married women and 60 percent of married men will have an extramarital affair at some time in their marriage, according to Journal of Couple and Relationship Therapy.
This being said, to prey and profit off of the broken hearts of betrayed spouses, and aiding in the disintegration of marriages? It's a matter of perception.

America is just turning into one big cest pool. Can we just have one week, I'll even take one day, where I don't have to hear anything about sex. I am not against it just against it being in everything lately, commericals, songs, t.v. You can't escape it.
