Coming to The Bachelor: NASCAR Racing, Emotional Emily Maynard
by Free Britney at .Brad Womack and Bachelor fans have fallen for Emily Maynard, whose former fiancee, race car driver Ricky Hendrick, died in a plane crash while she was pregnant.
On next week's episode, Emily's moving story will be on display again as their date - surely by pure coincidence - hits close to home at a NASCAR track.
Check out how Emily Maynard reacted to the setting of the group date, and how Brad Womack treated the potentially uncomfortable situation, below:
"I know there has been a lot of talk and concern recently over the upcoming episode of The Bachelor with the NASCAR-themed group date," Emily tells People.
"Although I appreciate everyone's concern, I ask that you reserve judgment until [it airs]. As you'll see, the experience actually helped me gain some closure."
She even had a little fun behind the wheel.
"The first few laps were for Ricky," the Southern Belle said. "And the last lap was for me. And I'm just really ready to move on and find love again."

i remember this tragedy in NASCAR history. my heart goes out to her and the rest of the families. I hope she is able to find a love that comes close to the one she lost.
