Lauren Conrad has gone to to the dark side. So to speak.

Showing off a brand new brunette hair color at CoverGirl 50th birthday party in West Hollywood this week, the natural blonde's different look caught our eye.

"It was just time to go for it," says her hair stylist, Kristin Ess. "We've done so many variations of blonde in the past and it was fun to do something new."

    Her hair doesn't look much different... The darker style still has goldie blonde highlights. She has such nice hair either way ^_^
