I think Rielle is poison to John now, he let her ruin his political career and reputation. Elizabeth was very vocal before she died, for John NOT to marry Rielle and have HER raising her children. John will find someone else, wait and see.

So, if you are married to a nagging, unsupportive person, you are supposed to just take it? Life with Elizabeth must have been hell on Earth. Because he is a politician, John's career would have ended if he did what most of us would do. He did not leave the b**** to marry the woman he loved. He stayed, he honored his commitment to support his wife and kids in the highest style, but his career is ruined anyway. Did Elizabeth or their kids ever want for one single thing? Did she not have the best medical care on the planet? Are we really supposed to feel sorry for these people who live a life of incredible luxury, privilege, and opportunity, thanks to John's success? If John could find a little happiness with a woman he actually loved, good for him!

I really think - if this tramp really thinks she's going to be Mrs. Edwards - what he had with her was a series of booty calls gone wrong. Yeah, he's a dumb ass, and yeah, he was a real jerk not to wrap it up, but we forget that cancer affects BOTH spouses in ways we cannot imagine. His life as he knows it - as they both knew it - began unraveling when their son died and went into a freefall once Elizabeth got sick. Most of the women & men screaming for his head have also gotten cheated on (or cheated themselves), and are hypocrites. His kids love him - he's all they have left. Leave him alone now. Trust me - he is in hell right about now.

Everyone makes mistakes. Some are more visible than others and I doubt anyone posting here is an angel. I feel certain John Edwards knows how lucky he was to have Elizabeth and I believe he will raise his children and, maybe at a later date, find someone to be with but it won't be Hunter. She is really nothing to him anymore except the mother to his child. Elizabeth found a way to forgive him and move on and we should follow her lead.

You people are crazy I have seen it a hundred times one is dieing and there is another waiting in the wings. If there with that person before the other dies whats the difference the intent is still there I have seen it and as soon as that person dies there living together.
