Handed out since 1927, this honor is described by the magazine as the individual who "has done the most to change the news, for better or worse." Past recipients have ranged from Adolf Hitler to The Computer to Bill Clinton.

Writes Time in its profile: "In less than seven years, Mark Zuckerberg wired together a twelfth of humanity in a single network... It's a permanent fact of our global social reality. We have entered the Facebook age, and Mark Zuckerberg is the man who brought us here."
Runners-up in 2010 included the Tea Party, Julian Assange, Hamid Karzai and the Chilean Miners. Think this publication made the right choice?
