Yes, hunting is legal and, yes, it's a common practice in Alaska. But Mr. Sorkin's point is this: Palin did not kill that caribou to feed her family. She did so for the sole, selfish purpose of showing how tough/normal she is, thereby taking the life of an animal in order to score points politically and garner ratings. Even the most ardent palin supporters MUST agree with that, right? Is anyone really gonna claim that this multi-millionaire was out there hunting for her poor family's dinner?
