Wesley Snipes: Finally Headed to Jail
He may have proven that white men can't jump, but Wesley Snipes has also made it clear that felons can't avoid jail time.
The actor - who was convicted of tax evasion in 2008, but spent years going to extreme lengths to avoid his sentence - had his latest appeal rejected by a federal judge this week.
Told he “had a fair trial” and that “the time has come for the judgment to be enforced,” Snipes will finally be heading to the clink.
“Wesley is very disappointed but staying strong and positive,” his lawyer told The Orlando Sentinel.
It’s unclear when or where Snipes will start serving the sentence. So much for always betting on black, though.
UPDATE: A judge has ordered Snipes to start serving this sentence by December 9.

Interesting how some White people always play the race card in reverse. You cannot have it both ways. Is the system slanted towards Whites or not??? You answer the question. You do not put a person in jail on 3 misdemeanors. And you do not do it for 3 years. You Whites always cry foul when there is clear bias in this case. Mr. Snipes will be fine. But this see not evil, speak no evil, hear no evil stance is moot and frankly I am exhausted by this it is all fair in the system stance. Try reading "Black Like Me" and the "Bell Curve" and then tell me this is NOT systematically a White mans world.

Charges filed were three misdemeanors. Repeat - 3 misdemeanors. We know prosecutors throw the book in hopes something sticks. It was reported in a ABC article that in a jury e-mail, "Certain jurors that had already presumed he was guilty before the trail [sic] started and we only found this out in the last few days of deliberation. We thought we were making the right deal because we did not think he would go to jail for not filing taxes." The jury members made a "deal" among themselves? Was this to prevent having to snitch on their jury mates resulting in a hung jury or mistrial - along with the investigation, trial and fines to the jurors that perjured themselves? So they agreed to convict. Seems the jury felt justice would be served with Snipes paying taxes and fines and going home. A win win for all. A Righteous Conviction? I don't think so. well looks like none of you know what you are talking about!I happen to be an expert in that subject and the tax preparer is equally liable.And this does not look about tax evasion rather making sure that every black male gets the taste of jail!Hasn't Nicholas Cage evaded tax????? Wasn't it his duty to pay tax????

Wow! it seems if you shoot a Black man like in Oakland you just get two year. And if you are a Black man who was robbed by his tax attorney you go to jail for his crime.
