Lily Allen: Hospitalized with Blood Condition

Just days after suffering her second miscarriage, the singer was rushed to the hospital on Friday for a blood condition called septicemia. With symptoms that include a fever, chills and rapid breathing, this ailment involves bacteria in the blood that can cause severe infections.
Says a rep for the artist:
"She is responding well to treatment and her condition continues to improve. Lily thanks everyone for their messages of support and again asks that she and partner Sam Cooper be left alone whilst she recovers."

It sounds like her illness from a bad virus led to the premature delivery/stillbirth of the baby and even her own life has been threatened from it all! I really hope the sweet, talented Lily feels better soon and does not blame herself for her loss. It's no coincidence that women in the 19th century often died from these situations!...(I saw a display and the mortality statistics at the Smithsonian museum.)
