Kanye West Takes Credit for Success of Taylor Swift

You're welcome, Taylor Swift.

This is the message Kanye West sent on the radio show Mojo in the Morning yesterday, once again bringing up his rude behavior at the 2009 MTV Music Awards and implying it "spawned" the global success Swift has since enjoyed.

Said Kanye:

Without this incident, would Taylor Swift even have a career at this point?!? Kanye West isn't certain.

"I feel like when Taylor was getting all those magazine covers, she was all good then. I feel completely empathetic and sympathize with that moment of her feeling bad, that spawned her to have one million magazine covers and be the most popular artist in the world, but in that moment of her feeling bad, I do feel bad about being the cause of that."

Only Kanye West can aim for an apology, and end up taking credit for the career of another artist.

    Kanye is an idiot. Taylor was already famous. He did it for attention because he was falling off the radar. He is a jackass....just saying.

    WOW! I just hate that guy! No one will pick up a magazine because Taylor is on it, or buy her album because they feel sorry for her. People like her and her music thats why shes successful. My god Kanye is a dick.

    I so agree with bunn! I also want to say that I watch the Today show everyday, even Saturday. Kanye was treated no different than any other guest. In fact, he was given a little more courteiousy than other guest. Matt sat quietly waiting for him to speak, seeing that he was having difficulty forming an answer. Speak much, Kanye????

    Kanye needs help. He is so full of unhappiness and hate that it is eating him up inside. He doesn't even make sence when he tries to talk. I used to admire him as a performer until I heard him speak a few times. He just starts spouting words that don't even form a sentence or makes any sense at all. I believe that he is very parinoid and needs to be on medication before he hurts himself or someone else, literally. As for Taylor Swift, she needed no help from him or anyone else. She was already famous. That is why she won an award!!

    Kanye needs to get a reality check. Taylor was 'globally famous" long before he ever pulled his stunt. He can take absolutely NO credit for her success BUT he can certainly give himself a pat on the back or a kick in the ass for making people more aware of what an asshole he is!Surely he must realize by now that what he did only generated bad PR for him and put Taylor in more favor with her public! He needs to learn to keep his mouth shut!~
