Amber Portwood Laments Loss of Baby Leah

by at .

Teen Mom star Amber Portwood says having 2-year-old daughter Leah taken away by Child Protective Services and placed with her ex-fiance was a low point.

We can see that. The powers that be intervened for other reasons than her routine beatings of Gary Shirley, too. The attention Amber gets was a big concern.

Teen Mom Stars Destroyed!

"Child Protective Services agreed that it was safer for her to stay at Gary's because of all the photographers outside my house," says Amber Portwood.

TEEN MOM BEATDOWN: Gary Shirley's received his share.

Amber's now-infamous physical attacks on her ex have garnered national attention, and sparked a domestic abuse investigation by Anderson, Ind., police.

On medication to cope with anxiety, she calls the forced separation from Leah "is the lowest of the low. Every night she's been saying, 'Where's Mommy?'"

"I feel like everything is spinning out of control, and I'm just trying to put the pieces back together," she tells Us Weekly. "I have to get myself better.

"When I get my baby back, she'll see her mom as happy as can be."

um... just because gary and amber dont get along doesnt mena she had to lose her baby no one knows everything about the situation and i dont think either one of them would ever hurt the baby and they shouldnt take the baby away from the mom amber and gary just need to stay away from each other and find a way to get leah back and forth to both her parents .

i think amber needs to get away from gary and cool down then bring gary back and talk about everything without fighting. i understand its hard to be a single parent. oh what happend to that guy she was dating? well i hope amber gets leah back.

Gary and Amber are both unfit to raise a child. They should do the right thing and find Leah a loving, stable home. It is bad enough that this child is a product of their DNA. The only thing that can change to give her a better life is a change of environment. If Gary and Amber really truly loved Leah, they would do what was best for her and give her to a family with a future.

Wow if that is what happens on camera in front of the world what happens behind closed doors? Never saw this show but I think it would be useful for teenagers to watch and see the struggles of being a parent. And btw I was a teen mom too and I am raising my 3 as well as another womans child. I am a great mom I give love, financial support and guidance to my children. Please do not stereotype all teen moms, maybe what is needed here is intervening and guidance.
