Todd Palin Turned Down Dancing With the Stars
Todd Palin, husband of Sarah and father of Bristol, was approached for this season of Dancing With the Stars as well, the former Alaska Governor said.
Bristol Palin has survived three weeks thus far on the current season, but was she even the dance competition's first choice among her own family?
"They wanted Todd to be on the show," Sarah Palin said at a Houston, Tex. speaking engagement. "I think that would have been cool to see, too."
Coming next season to DWTS: Todd Palin?!
The politician didn't say whether producers originally wanted him instead of Bristol, or in addition to the teenage mother of 18-month-old Tripp.
Bristol is doing great in any case, Sarah reports: "She is way out of her element, out of her comfort zone, and she is the first to admit that."
Would Sarah herself ever compete? Only if they incorporated basketball.
"They would have to let me dribble back and forth and maybe pivot and do a jump shot or something as part of the routine," she quipped.

So Sarah was first choice and declined. Todd was Sarah's suggestion but he turned it down. Now we have Bristol who was passed the offer by Sarah's publicity agent contacting DWTS. What's next--Willow or Piper next season. The never ending saga of the Wasilla Nit Wits who wannabee celebrities.

I think this ranks right up there with Sarah Palin telling about the death panels for health care. Everyone questioned why Bristol was invited to be on Dancing with the Stars--whether or not her Star was because she was an unmarried teenager who became pregnant and her Mother said it was because she was a role model to all of today's youth. What are we supposed to believe about Todd--chosen because he is an unemployed husband who enjoys the good life with lots of airplanes and snow machines and girl friends and is laughing all the way to the bank?
