Kid Rock to Steven Tyler: You're an Idiot

by at . Comments

American Idol fans may be torn on new judge Steven Tyler, but Kid Rock has made it very clear what he thinks of this rocker's decision to join the show.

"I think it's the stupidest thing he's ever done in his life," the Detroit native told Entertainment Weekly.

Kid says he loves the Aerosmith front man "to death," but adds:

"He's a sacred American institution of rock 'n roll and he just threw it all out the window. Just stomped on it and set it on fire... I think whoever's advising him, we should bring back the guillotine or whatever they call that thing. And if it was himself, he needs some serious counseling."

Tell us how you really feel, Kid Rock. Stop holding back. What do you think, readers? Are you happy Tyler and J. Lo are joining Idol?

kid rock put your hat on backwards, it fits you bunghead !

Even after winning 2 Oscars, and being one of the highest paid performers in movies, Elizabeth Taylor (and Richard Burton) appeared in a TV movie called Divorce His, Divorce Hers, and in the early eighties Elizabeth guest appeared on General Hospital. Even Oscar Winner Jane Wyman was on Falcon Crest in a starring role for years. The list go on and on including Robert Wagner starring in "It Takes A Thief", and Oscar Winner Dorothy Malone starring on "Peyton Place". Frank Gifford and numerous sports personalities are now sportcasters.Even Kathy Lee Gifford went from co-hosting with Regis to "The Today Show". Unlike most other blue collar jobs, entertainers can usually afford to try something new, even if we do not agree with their choices. PEACE!!

In recent months, numerous ** stars including Eric Roberts and Sean Young have drifted into Daytime TV,it does not make them any less valuable as performers, even though they may have taken a pay cut. Without question,Steven Tyler has been invited to share his opinions on the talents of performers who are trying to get to where he has been, and by all indications the $$ that he will make on this show will give him the comfort of steady employment without all the traveling and hassels of day in, day out hotel rooms. With his brush with being injured from that fall off stage a while back, Steven might still be experiencing pain that we know nothing about.

Kid Rock's music is barfworthy at best. The only reason his career has survived so long is because millions of people apparently have horrible taste in music. However, I do somewhat agree with him about his opinion on Steven Tyler. Although Aerosmith hasn't put out a decent album since the early 90's the band is still an American institution and by him going on Star Search errr American Idol it just seems that he is ruining his band's legacy. I compare it to a retired hall of fame athlete making a comeback and playing at half the level he used to.

AI already have Randy Jackson. The two new judges Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler will be a counter-balance for the **different that American Idol is going. When one person is there from the beginning like Randy, another judge like Simon will be missed, but given the chance the show will continue as it was intended for,to
give unknown talented singers a chance to change their lives while
learning about the pitfalls of applauds and rejection.
Kid Rock is entitled to his opinion, but Steven Tyler is a survivor, and will hold his own when judging the performances. I can easily believe if Kid Rock had been offered the chance to be a judge on American Idol, he would *not have turned the gig down.
Just saying!!
