First Lee DeWyze Single: Listen Now!

Lee DeWyze seems like a very nice guy and possesses perfectly solid music talent.

Then again, this combination hasn't resulted in much professional success for the two American Idol winners that preceded Lee, David Cook and Kris Allen.

Will DeWyze enjoy a different outcome when his debut CD comes out on November 16? We'll see. In the meantime, the guitar-playing crooner has released his first single. Listen to "Sweet Serendipity" now and chime in with your take on it:

    Also note that Cook was on SNL and Time of My Life was the winner single...Cook will have to get on top 40 radio and sell his singles without the hype from just winning Idol...Adam did all this in the face of not being the winner, homophobia/hate, and after a flop first single (FYE the single). I doubt Cook could have recovered so well...the point is that Adam is the first real male pop star to come off Idol and pop music is what is selling right now...his upside is huge for album 2. Daughtry is not included because he has the career and success with mulitple albums snd has perfected the guitar-pop appeal guy sound. Cook will never be Daughtry...

    I don't follow Mr. Allen though I do like his music but David Cook has a platinum debut CD, 2 platinum singles and a gold single. That's the type of failure I'd like to be! I hope Mr. Dewyze does as well.

    I hate to break it to you all, but Kris Allen IS VERY SUCCESSFUL. Y'all need to stop getting catty and competing. David Cook AND Kris Allen happen to be friends. Kris is just laid back. Live Like We're Dying went platinum. How is that NOT successful. He's done sold out shows. He opens for top acts who request him. He's gone to Rwanda, Haiti, Nashville, New Orleans, all in the name of charity. He's done a USO concert. All in the name of charity. To me that smells success. I'd rather be a fan of someone who is admirable then someone who gets attention from the tabloids. Get a grip people. You like someone. Fine. Don't degrade Kris for your guy because.

    Well said Nadia...Whoever wrote this article is not very professional and certainly doesn't know how to do any research...Love David Cook...he has been out of the limelight because he is working on his next album, not because he is not successful.. I just saw that Adam Lambert has 1 million twitter followers, and they had to point out that it is more than David Cook and Kris Allen combined... but David has still sold more albums than Mr. Lambert which in the grand scheme of things is much more telling than followers on Twitter...sorry but it is true...
