$12 million???? Doesn't she and others realize most of us are barely hanging on in this economy? Everyday I wake up hoping to just pay my bills. Have a heart and be considerate of our feelings! Think about how hard it is to struggle every single day!

Ok, I think Jennifer Lopez will do a good job. She is very talented and has been in the business a long time. I think she is worth the $12 million since AI can well afford to pay that amount to her. As far as Brett Michaels being a judge, I think he would do a good job as well, but he's very over exposed with all those reality shows, and he's getting a bit annoying lately. Now, Steven Tyler being a judge, that's just weird and I'm not sure he would fit in as a full time judge on AI. As a mentor he would be fine, but not so sure as a full time judge. No once can replace Simon, that's for sure.

Now that Jennifer Lopez will be one of the new judges, I will DEFINITELY be seeing AI again. I think she'll make a great judge, she's gorgeous, so talented, knows music and is so witty and funny.

    I'M EXCITED!!!

12 million!!!! Are you kidding!!!! The show will not be the same without Paula. J Lo will be just too much of a diva about this whole thing. She should just stay home and be a mother to her twins.

After last season, I said I would not watch the show again. When I read what they are paying J-Lo, I couldn't believe it. I do not think she will be a good judge, and certainly do not think she deserves that much money. I might have come back if Brett Michaels was a judge. I wish the show luck, it is going to need it. Simon was the best judge, and with him being gone, no one can replace him.

AI has become boring along with the boring "devoid of talent" contestants they had on last season. Then to make matters ever more boring, they bring on a mediocre (at best) singer, dancer and wanna be actress like JLo. As for Steven Tyler, yeah that's gonna work. I don't think so. And don't get me started on the host of the show. Goodbye AI.

Not excited at all about Steven Tyler. Surely they could have gotten someone better looking and more exciting than him. Am excited about JLo and very glad Kara is out. Always liked Randy Jackson.

People still watch this show? It should have died a quick death years ago. A belching contest would be far more interesting than American Idol. I suggest you turn your TV off for a few days. I also bet you can't do it without going crazy.

What a slap in the face to Paula. I liked Kara the first season, but she was egotistic and nauseating this past season. Paula brought a brightness to the show, which became evident as the season progressed without her. To give Jennifer Lopez that much money, irrespective of lucrative advertising, and especially when you had a well-liked and proven person on the panel (Paula)........well, it just stinks. Paula, I continue to wish you well. The show should go down like the Titanic.
