Michael Douglas and David Letterman Hug It Out, Conduct Cancer Q&A
Michael Douglas has been diagnosed with stage four throat cancer.
But the veteran actor appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman last night, bravely answering the myriad of questions thrown his way by the very interested, very concerned host. It was an interview light on laughter, but heavy on heart.

Michael and Catherine my thoughts and prayers are with you. My husband had stage 4 cancer and had wonderful doctors and surgons. Keep your spirts up and spend as much time with your family as possible. Keep your children close they need you as much as you need them. Barbara

I sent you a message earlier, but forgot one thing I mean't to say that might give you a little chuckle. I was afraid of my bathtub for 2 weeks after seeing "Fatal Attraction" - I just knew I would see Glenn Close in there!! Don't worry, I did take showers! Please take good care of yourself.

May the light of god shine on you Michael and I pray for you, I saw when I was a young girl I saw you rehearsing at Eugene O'neal theater in ct, near ocean beach I was the only one watching my dad had a small part walk on then, and I came with him to see you you had to be 18 or 19 I was 15, and watched you. and from that point on I have been a fan of yours.Watched you on letterman last night and you light up the screen.I will pray for you each and every night when I go to sleep.God is with you Michael. you have so much more to do here, and its just not your time.
