Megamind Poster Takes Shot at Barack Obama

by at .

A new poster for Dreamworks' new film Megamind takes aim at U.S. President Barack Obama, parodying his famous "Yes We Can" slogan from the 2008 campaign.

Instead of the message of hope that swept the Illinois Senator into the White House two years ago, Megamind's ugly mug promises simply, "No You Can't."

Not sure if the latter would play as well with undecided voters ...

Megamind has not declared his candidacy for president in 2012, but whispers in political circles say he may soon form an exploratory committee.

Featuring the voice talents of Will Ferrell, Brad Pitt, Tina Fey and David Cross, Megamind (opening Nov. 5) offers a satirical take on superhero movies, in which a notorious villain loses his oomph after he accidentally kills his nemesis.

It's unclear if the poster is a direct shot at Obama's administration or just a play on his slogan with a contrasting film character, but it's pretty clever either way.

"Yes You Can" write to the White House at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. NW Washington, D.C. 20500 but "No You Can't!" Get a response back from the presidents office if you ask the simple question: "Are you a muslim?" Or: "Have you accepted Jesus Christ into your heart as Lord & Saviour?" So much for the transparent office, huh?
