"I wanted to get back at Natalee's family - her parents have been making my life tough for five years," Van der Sloot said from a prison in Peru, where he's being held for the murder of another woman. "When they offered to pay for the girl's location, I thought: 'Why not'?"

In June, Van der Sloot was captured in an FBI sting and indicated, although the burial site he offered turned out to be a fake.
