Dancing With the Stars: Who Turned it Down?

Dancing With the Stars is a pretty good gig if you can get it, and plenty of celebs and quasi-celebs (cough, Octomom) lobby for spots only to be shut down.

But not everyone's interested in the show, either.

Before they landed their roster for the upcoming season, which features The Situation and Bristol Palin, ABC was negged by a surprising number of stars.

DWTS price apparently wasn't right for Drew Carey ... or Kirstie Alley.

Mark Zuckerberg, the creator of Facebook, was approached, but he passed. So did Sylvester Stallone, Dolph Lundgren, Ann Coulter and Condoleeza Rice.

Those many have been long shots, but Kirstie Alley, Tim Allen and Drew Carey? What do they have going on? Roberto Martinez and Ali Fedotowsky, too?

With the limited time and the money in play, it's a no-brainer.

Considering each star makes an initial $125,000 for signing, three weeks of rehearsal and competing in the first two episodes, it's a pretty sweet deal.

That's not even considering a bonus of $10,000 an episode for weeks 3-4, then $20,000 for 5-6, $30,000 for 7-8, and $50,000 for the last two weeks.

That adds up to a tidy $345,000 for the winner, or a lot of clothes and diapers for baby Tripp. No way Levi's salary as Mayor of Wasilla will be near that.
