Sarah Palin Defends Dr. Laura Schlessinger, Does Not Understand U.S. Constitution

by at . Comments

Sarah Palin is really unintelligent for a major political figure.

We're not saying that because she's female, conservative, outspoken, etc. It's just true, as her grasp of the U.S. Constitution, or lack thereof, proves in spades.

The former Alaska Governor and current professional celebrity went on Twitter yesterday to give embattled radio host Dr. Laura Schlessinger some support.

Palin's first Tweet: "Dr.Laura:don't retreat...reload! (Steps aside bc her 1st Amend.rights ceased 2exist thx 2activists trying 2silence"isn't American,not fair")"

Her second: "Dr.Laura=even more powerful & effective w/out the shackles, so watch out Constitutional obstructionists. And b thankful 4 her voice,America!"

Putting aside the fact that a person who wrote "2silence"isn't American, not fair" was nominated for Vice President of the United States, this is still nonsense.

To recap, Schlessinger repeatedly used the n-word in speaking with a caller that asked for advice on her marriage. This woman then complained about the epithet.

Dr. Laura naturally replied, on air, that "If you're that hypersensitive about color and don't have a sense of humor, don't marry out of your race." Crickets.

Her contract is set to expire at the end of this year, and with the backdrop of this controversy, Schlessinger decided not to continue her show when it does.

She wasn't actually fired, though it would have been justified.

You see, Schlessinger's First Amendment rights did not "cease 2exist" because she was criticized for berating an African-American or using the n-word 11 times.

The First Amendment, Sarah Palin, protects people from government infringing on our speech rights; it doesn't take away other Americans' right to criticize.

Nor does it stop a private business from terminating an employee or pulling ads as it so chooses. That's capitalism and freedom at work, baby! U-S-A! U-S-A!

That Homer, Alaska resident said it best: Worst. Governor. Ever.

This is what a bunch of stupid crackers spin into a story!

Her logic is skewed and proves that she is a racist at heart. Just because a person or people do something wrong does not make it ok for others to do the same. She actually calls herself a doctor? She is an insult to the profession. Anyone who defends her is just plain ignorant or is also a racist.

I am confused! The issue is the woman called into Dr. Laura seeking advice on how to handle a situation. But instead of getting advice on how to deal with her in-laws using the N words and her spineless husband not correcting his parents, Dr. Laura told her that maybe the parents think it's ok because blacks us it all the time as a term of endearment, BS! It's never ok to use the N word, call someone PWT or anything like that not even as a term of endearment. Never, never, never!

And another thing. Stop lumping everybody together like all people have the same views on things. Each person is responsible for their actions, not the actions of an entire race of people. One person does not speak for an entire race!!

O.k. this is what I don't understand. Why is that people keep talking about what some idiot rappers or comics say? That does not make what they say right nor does it mean that ALL black people agree with their choice of words. It also does not mean that ALL black people use the word or condone the use of it. I am black and I don't use the word and don't associate with people who do. It is not cool and it is offensive. As far as the so called Dr's comments, I suppose if her husband's friends made negative rude comments about women all the time and he did not defend her then her logic would be "If you're that hypersensitive about your gender and don't have a sense of humor, don't marry a female". Not to mention she stated her response in defense mode by stating asking the lady to define racist and stating that some people are too sensitive.

So if you think it's no big deal to use the n-word, go find a group of black guys and start using it. They call each other that word so it should be okay for you to use it right? ...and by the way white americans already have their version of BET, it's called CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX, CW, and everyother channel not specifically dedicated to blacks, Asians, or Latinos.

i hate to explain to you choclidites about sara palin but out of all the people out there how many have had the experiance she has had running a state, then you have these people that say she was a quiter just how much money were the law suits costing alaska .by the way how much money has been made by these rappers that have used the n word 10 millon times i was raised in compton so i have experance on that??????????????????

A agree that the N-word should never be used. However, I can't help agree with Schlessinger that it is common use amongst black teens and young adults. While on the subject of no-nos, we should also seek to have the terrible m-f stricken from our vocabulary

palin knows everything except the bush doctrine

Why Is Palin always telling people to RELOAD. We have enough crazies out there shooting up the work place. police station drive by shooting in houses etc. that kind or rhetoric just sets people off.

Sarah Palin Quotes

What I've had to do, though, is in the middle of the night, put down the Blackberries and pick up the breast pump. Do a couple of things different and still get it all done.

I am thankful to be married to a man who loves being a dad as much as I love being a mom so he is my strength. And practically speaking, we have a great network of help with lots of grandparents and aunties and uncles all around us. We have a lot of help.
