What a feeble attempt at paraphrasing. Nothing in your article clarifies or restates her quotes. Unless you believe it was accomplished by the last paragraph. The last paragraph illustrates your massive confusion between performance and life, they are not same. But, I guess when you are on a hate campaign, it doesn't matter.

@blaize: If you're asking whether or not it matters that Miley is 17 and that plays a role in her pathetic outfits, of course the answer is YES.
Go ahead and call that a double standard. Is it also a double standard that kids under 18 can't vote? That a 13-year old releasing a sex tape is more inappropriate than a 23-year old doing the same? Of course age matters.

@Hilton Hater: What about when Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and other ADULT pop stars wear skimpy clothing and do the same things you criticize Miley Cyrus for doing? Do you think they're being immature CHILDREN too, or is this just a double standard?

@Stan: The huge difference is that Radcliffe was acting as a character in a play.
Cyrus was concocting a ridiculous act just to make herself seem "edgy," as opposed to just relying on her actual music to make headlines. Making matters worse, she couldn't even actually kiss the dancer - she had to stop herself and just make it seem that way so she could cop out and defend herself by saying, "What's the big deal? I didn't do anything!" It's all marketing nonsense.

"wearing skimpy clothing on stage and pretending" Key words there are pretending as in acting as in not real. Weather in movies, TV or on stage, what a performer does, is not a reflection of who they are. Why are people so immature that they can't ge that. No wonder the kids in America are failing in school, when so many adults cannot even grasp such a simple concept, how do we expect kids to. No one complained about Dakota Fanning, who is 16, when she was pretending to be raped in "Hound Dog" at 13, or her kissing scene with Kristen in her last movie. It's all the same. How about Daniel Radcliffe on stage doing a full nude scene at 17, same age as Miley, and she has shown a lot less. Daniel was also a performer aimed at kids like Miley, but hardly anyone complained when he decided to go for a more mature audience.

I don’t get it! I really don’t. In her day Demi made some decent movies, but CYRUS! This country is so brainwashed if they think someone like Cyrus has any talent either as a singer or an actress. Disney boxed her, wrapped her and sold her as this corny Hannah Montana chick. The show, for kids, is OK at the most, but to continue funding this kid’s career is obnoxious, insane and just plain brainless!! Good luck to all of you morons who think she has a future. I can’t wait to see her fall on her face as she trips over her over-inflated ego!!
