Miley Cyrus Gets Her Good On, Talks Up Charity
Brace yourselves, THG readers: we're about to give Miley Cyrus a sizable number of props.
The singer plays a prominent role in Get Ur Good On, a charitable partnership between the artist and Youth Service America that encourages people to get involved in their communities.
In this case, fans have a chance to bid on items from Miley's actual closet, with proceeds going to the organization. Learn more about it in Miley's eBay section and watch her talk about how simple it can be to make a difference below:
This isn't the first time Miley has earned our praise for her charitable work. We still wish she'd wear pants and sound less pompous and serve as a better role models outside of these examples - but we're not above pointing out when Cyrus actually does some good.

@Wilma: Glad you asked. The events laid-out that you mentioned, show that 'Pink' enjoys life to a degree that many seem very condemning of when they begin to post here on this site. Yet,when you find-out what she(Pink)does for charity and how much time she spends with the 'make-a-wish' foundation, you find that---what Pink does in her private life doesn't matter. It's her life to live as she sees fit. However, all that she gives(both of her time and of herself)---that's what REALLY matters. It isn't what she does on stage, and it isn't what she wears,or who she chooses to date or---anything like that. Get-it? I am merely using this example(certainly not picking on Pink)to illustrate that a Good Person(Which I know Miley to be)is a Good person---Not what she wears,or how she acts on stage, nor who she dates or doesn't. It's what she does for others that actually counts. And Miley does a whole lot that many tend to over-look. They'd rather focus on what they feel is wrong...I'm used to people

What does cooking a turkey have to do with a quikie and donating to charity?

No Miley fan but who feels they have a right to judge her or criticize her if she feeling charitable? She should be she makes alot of money and it's a huge tax deduction for these people who have so much money so why not do it? I do it and Im not rich. I still believe that if everyone with money would donate more money we might not have getzillions of people starving and doing with out the basic neccessities of life! Even those of us who dont 'have money' could donate a $1.00 a week to feeding the poor and it would help alot. For my City alone here in Canada, population just over one million now, if we gave $4.00 a month look at the good that could do.

@Hanes: The part of your post about no underwear is false. Perez admitted that it was. You might want to check your facts before posting.

You people need to leave Mylie alone. It's enough that Perez Hilton posted pictures of her getting out of a car wearing no underwear

@Blaize: Very Good Point! For example,Pink. You see how she acts and some of the things she sings about? She once told on an interview about going upstairs for a 'quickie' and how the fire department had to be called because they left a turkey in the oven which caught fire. However, does that mean she doesn't care about charity or doing good things for people?? NO. In-fact(unless she's changed partners and I haven't heard)both she(pink)and the fellow she's with now, spend a great deal of their time with the 'make-a-wish' foundation and children...To this I say;"Great Job,Pink!!" You see, Pink's private life is her private life. What she chooses to do in-it or how she chooses to live-it---is entirely up to her! It's her right(as long as she isn't hurting other people)...The things I mentioned about her in the beginning of this post,matter--- NONE! The smiles and joy she brings to the less fortunate children of 'make-a-wish'---DOES...What Miley does in her performances or what she wears d

@nadia: Just because Miley Cyrus is showing more sexuality doesn't mean she is an awful person who doesn't care about charity. Dressing and dancing sensually doesn't make you a bad person. There are so many hypocritical prudes out there who are totally fine with certain other celebrities being sexual, but OMG IF MILEY CYRUS DOES IT they overreact about it. Who says you can't look or dance however you want and still be a decent human being? That's so superficial. THAT'S what's truly awful.

With the exception of the last paragraph, it's a good article about someone doing something good. You know, the paragraph that infers you are fair and objective about this person by patting yourself on your back. You know, the paragraph that includes the backdoor criticisms. It's interesting the even when you are telling your readers of something good, you can't resist reminding them of your hate obsession for her. Typical Hilton Hater.
