Will Grease be the word for Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus?

Speaking to Great Britain’s The Sun recently, the 16-year old said he’d love to remake one of the most iconic films in history, taking over John Travolta’s role of Danny Zuko in a new version of Grease.

“It would be a lot of fun. It’s been talked about a lot over the years, but it would be awesome to play Danny,” Bieber said, creating a gossip storm over the girl he’d choose to be play his love interest.

Hollywood purists would scoff, but a Miley Cyrus/Justin Bieber version of Grease might make more money than Avatar.

“I would go for Miley Cyrus without hesitation. She can sing, dance and act,” Justin said.

In the movie, the character of Sandy Olsson (played by Olivia Newton-John) actually goes from innocent to seductive, concluding the musical in a classic number that involves black tights and a leather jacket. In other words: it’s the role Miley has been studying for all her life!

Who else would Justin clamor to see in a new Grease?

“Wouldn’t Susan Boyle make an amazing Principal McGee? We’d just need to write it into the script that she broke into song… I would love to include Cheryl Cole as well. She would look great in the Rydell High cheerleading uniform.”

Bieber, of course, will anchor his own movie next year. Before casting a remake of such a timeless flick, let’s wait a few months and see how this teen sensation holds up at the box office.
