Happy Birthday, Barack Obama!

Barack Hussein Obama II, the current President of the United States, turns 49 years old today. Happy birthday to our country's 44th Commander-in-Chief!

Since his historic election in November 2008, Obama's White House term has produced significant accomplishments amid impossibly high expectations.

It has also led many, even those who support him, to believe he's not doing enough. His critics see him taking the U.S. in the wrong direction entirely.

No matter how you see it, you most likely have a strong opinion in what have become turbulent, critical times for our nation. But we are all Americans.

Let's put aside our differences and embrace our differences of opinion. We love a spirited debate, but we can do so more respectively and constructively.

Regardless of your political affiliation, we can all wish the man a very happy birthday! But while we're on the subject of his controversial first term  ...
