The only way you can "view" The View is to take it with a grain of salt. Women who take this show seriously should sit back and take a good look at themselves and why they would think these women really know what they're talking about. Joy thinks she knows everything about everything and is so transparent in her own prejudice against anything that isn't liberal. Prejudice comes to mind again with Sherrie as well as ignorance. When I use that term I mean she just isn't aware of the world. She thinks she is but she knows so little about the things she talks about. I can stomach Whoopie and Elizabeth to a degree. Elizabeth usually gets ganged up on and there are times Whoopie tries to even the conversation out. But the majority of the time they just yell and talk over each other. What kind of intelligence is that?

I have recommended this show to the government to use as torture for our Islamic terrorists prisoners. All the women on this show are LUNATICS, it would drive anyone crazy to have to watch it/

lefties with only one conservative. Are they afraid to play fair

I am a Viewer!! I love seein Whoopi and Joy, I had seen this show but missed this hot topic, I always love hearing them go up against any cause but HIV is still a sensitive subject and has many historical errors that has unfortunately some peoples minds are still in that frame.

I agree with Sheree and DL's opinions. Studies are skewed and in this case, I do believe that men on the down low are the reason why women contract HIV/Aids if they are not intravenous drug users. It's an unfortunate reality and I'm just glad I'm not subject to it. I continue to pray for all women.

Everyone on this show has an agenda. To say Hasslebeck is the only one who makes sense is the most insane thing I ever read. It proves that Americans are ignorant and dumb is an understatment. Ever since Obama got in office EVERYONE has become a racist and it sucks. Point the finger of blame at yourself and ask is the nonsense you believe in really the truth. Are all whites racist, no just as all blacks aren't thieves and on welfare. Get your own facts in life and stop listenig to middlemen/women who are only out to make money by pissing us off with slanted truths.

This program's "view" is not a reflection of US. No Latins or Asians. All I see are Anglo,White And Black who really keep the media to themselves. Some view!!

While I can appreciate why a gay advocacy organization would be upset with how this information was presented by Shepherd and Hughley,it seems like they are simply following the same pattern.
When they say the CDC has debunked the Down-Low/HIV myth, they should present statistical evidence of said debunking. Otherwise they are just making a blanket statement without backup and expecting it to carry the day.
Another thing about how upset people are getting is that many refuse to see this issue through the proper cultural perspective. Among many groups in America-racial and ethnic minorities, religious people and people from more rural geographic areas-don't share the same "enlightened view" of human sexuality that is pervasive in urban areas and among the great majority of the mass media.
I lived and worked in DC for years and I found more black people than not were against the so-called gay rights movement. Look at Prop 8 in California. Generally, African-American voters are

I don't know why anyone is surprised. Sherri Shephard stated on the show, during her first few months, that she didn't know the world was round!

John Robert couldn't have said it any better! The show is nothing more than a hate fulled Bush bashing political joke! Behar is nothing more than a idiot whose big mouth with nothing to back up anything she says has turned me off completely, Whoopie Goldbergs eyerolling and faces when she has a guest on she doesn't like is really annoying, Sherrie shepherd is so racially prejudiced for her own kind it's not even funny! I hate to say this but Elisabeth Haselback seems to be the only one on their who's NOT biased and backs things up with facts, Barbara Walters is just a puppet who should just retire and do every body a favor! They should just cancel the show as I don't think it's even worth these idiots salaries or the air play it takes up!

The View is living proof, like Dr. Phil, that anything or anyone can be on TV. A gaggle of hens clucking and clawing at each other.
All very opinionated and never with anything to back up what they are raving about.
Joy Behar is about as stupid as they come. Who put HER on tv to begin with, and to think she has her own "show." lol lol
Goldberg is usually way over the top and is quick to come to the "surface" regarding anything racial or even perceived as racial.
A total waste of a person's time to tune into that "show/spectacle."

I retired December 2009. My wife USE to watch the view but as I would glance at the TV walking around in the house all it appeared to me was loud haggling approaching yelling at one another. My wife has since stopped watching due to all the ugly yelling and sorry we missed this episode that maybe will put this "View" in another direction! As in the trash can where this show belongs!
