Heidi Montag Files For Divorce; Spencer Pratt Calls Marriage a "Show" For The Hills
Ever since the first reports of Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt splitting up, Hills fans understandably assumed wondered if it was another big PR hoax.
Looks like it isn't.
Almost two months after the plastic princess went to court seeking legal separation from the puppet master, the reality star has filed for divorce.
Heidi Montag cites the usual "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the pair's split in a divorce petition filed in Santa Monica, Calif., Court.
"Heidi has amended her petition for separation and has filed a petition for dissolution of marriage from Spencer Pratt," attorney Jodeane Farrell said. The couple has agreed they would like their divorce to be finalized in a timely manner."
Hopefully Spencer Pratt finds comfort in his beloved crystals.
Adding that terms will be hashed out in an out of court settlement, Farrell said "both parties are amicable with each other and finalizing the divorce."
The couple staged a sham wedding in Cabo in 2008, then tied the knot for real in April 2009 at a church in Pasadena, Calif., appearing happy.
Things went downhill fast, however.
Heidi Montag underwent 10 plastic surgery procedures in one day, fired Spencer as her manager, released terrible music, accused The Hills creator Adam DiVello of sexual harassment and became estranged from her family and so on.
For his part, Spencer Pratt has grown increasingly eccentric, and even admitted to being a fame whore and choosing his "career" over his wife.

He echoed that sentiment yesterday to People.
"I love Heidi but our marriage was a show – it was part of The Hills world," Pratt said after the divorce filing. "That world is on a sound stage."
Referring to himself in the third-person, he adds: "It's clear that reality TV-fame-loving Spencer Pratt does not fit with my ex-wife Heidi Montag's ambitions for a motion picture actor/pop star career and being a single sex symbol for the world."
"Some say if you can't handle the heat get out of the kitchen, Well, Heidi couldn't handle King Spencer's fame so she got out of the marriage."
Right. So basically, his stardom is just too enormous. Makes sense.

I think that it's ridiculous to blame Lauren for the way Heidi and Spencer turned out, if Lauren was the cause, why is it that when she is no longer in the series Heidi and Spencer manage to fall out with both of their families, creating a wedge between Heidi and her families close relationship. You only have to think back to a few series ago when Spencer encouraged Heidi to pretend to be Spencers mum on the telephone using her bank details. He is clearly a bad influence. More to the point,the man has clearly lost his mind and needs to ge a grip. Whats with the crystals?!
I most definitely think that lauren has been very mature in this, she went to the wedding for Heidi, she still became friends with Spencers sister and she doesn't stop any of the 'group' seeing Heidi,they shut everyone out.
With regards to the Justin Bobby situation, I think you'll remember when Audrina and Lauren did fall out over his rudeness, but managed to get over it as Justin Bobby wasn't invloving himself as

I think that if Spencer hadn't treated Lauren the way he did, and spread rumours about her, and if Heidi had have stepped in and tried to stop it, or made it clear that it was unacceptable to treat her best friend like that.
Despite Justin, Audrina still stayed friends with Lauren, but Audrina never moved in with him, he never spread rumours about Lauren or tried to drive them apart the way that Spencer did.
If Lauren was truly to blame for ostracising Heidi, then why aren't Heidi's family still speaking to Heidi? Surely they wouldn't abandon their own daughter because her friends fell out with her?

Well, 2 things: At least Spencer admitted to being a fame (that word, sorry, I don't use that kind of language), and I wish Heidi never had any plastic surgery. She was beautiful before, but now looks like a aged Barbie - plastic.

Also, I want to aad. I do not think Spencer is to blame for chaging Heidi. It was the osterization caused by LAUREN which caused Heidi to be cut off from her 'best friend' and her other inner circle of friends (lo, audrina etc) which caused the loveable, social Heidi to deminish. NOT SPENCER!!!! Lauren created a huge wedge between H and S and the rest of the group. It was two against Lauren and co. That must have been very hard for H and S to deal with. No wonder they both eloped into their own world and felt they had to fight against everyone.
It is Lauren who betrayed Heidi!!! If she kept her nose out and was not unfair and unjsut everyone could have been friends and things perhaps a lot different.
Heidi and Spencer I hope everything works out for both of you for the better.

Take a look at Audrina and Justin bobys relationship. Justin treated Audrina badly and Justin is always rued to Lauren and co. Why where they not ostersized by Lauren the way Heidi and Spencer where. Heidi and Spencer are both victim's of Lauren and the Hills. I think they need to surround themsefls with good family and friends, be young, care free, not take things too seriously and enjoy life. Lauren was the root cause of all of this and I do not understand how this is never addressed. She should have kept her nose out of Heidi and Spencer's relationship and supported and stayed friends with Heidi. Lauren was over the top, crul and unfair in how she dealt with Heidi and Spencer. No wonder Spencer statred the rumer about sex tape. Lauren was the one that ostersized them first. The whole situation was immature and LAUREN should have been the one to forgive and forget. Heidi and spencer-we'r on your side. PS i think its time for them to forget about the fame game and just enjoy being you

I blame the producer's and creators of this show for not stepping in and taking action when the whole Lauren, Heidi, Spencer conflict first errupted. I feel Spencer is protrayed as the bad guy is exagerated and I feel Heidi was ostersized by (believed it or not) lauren (who is protrayed as Miss goodie). Infact heidi and spencer where socially ostersized by Lauren and I feel it is plain to see the psychological consesciences.
If Lauren did not like Spencer, that was 'HER' problem and instead she shunned heidi for dating him. Noboddy really liked Justin Bobby and he traeted Audrina and friends just worse then what spencer ever did and she was not ostersized out of the friendship ring. I wonder what position Heidi would be in today if lauren kept her nose out of heidi's relationship and was just a friend to heidi and supported her. I feel Heidi and spencer are the victim's of theis 'reality Tv show the hills' as they where cut off by lauren which had a knock on effect to them been cut

i think she looked way better before rather than after it sucks cause now she looks like plastic
