Alice Tan Ridley Advances to America's Got Talent Semifinals
Alice Tan Ridley is moving on!
The mother of Oscar-winning actress Gabourey Sidibe first impressed America's Got Talent viewers and judges with her audition in mid-June.
Since then, the woman who formerly sang in NYC subway stations has proven to be more than a one-hit wonder - and last night fans rewarded Ridley by voting her into the semifinals. Judges Piers Morgan and Howie Mandell approved of the decision.
Morgan referred to Alice as "brilliant," while Mandell agrees: "Every time she moves on, it’s heartwarming and moving."
In other America's Got Talent news, dancers AscenDance, singer Michael Grimm and magician Antonio Restivo also moved on to the next round.
If Ridley takes home the crown, she'll actually improve upon the fortunes of Susan Boyle, who finished second on Britain's Got Talent. Best of luck, Alice!

CrazyB, Ridley is NOT using her daughter to get famous. For your information, Ridley TURNED DOWN a role in Precious BEFORE her daughter got her role. Ridley waited until all her family was on their own and now it is her turn. She wants to do this on her own, Nick Carter is the one who mentioned Alice's daughter. Alice did NOT until then and she has not mentioned her since on the show! A lot of people WOULD pay to see Ridley...you just don't appreciate sunch an immense talent as Ridley has.

Omg they say it every time she performs and they even mentioned her daughter in this post.. Its annoying! I never said SHE said anything about her daughter if you read my post right.

GOD I dont want her to go through.. She is just using her daughter to get fame.. I mean she has a good voice but I wouldnt pay to see her!!!
