Taylor Momsen: More Inappropriate Than Miley?
While Miley Cyrus is lambasted for age-inappropriate conduct and "fashion," is Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen doing the same thing, only with less criticism?
Momsen, who fronts the band The Pretty Reckless in addition to starring on the CW show, is a year younger than Miley, even. Yet are they treated differently.
The reason for that is all Miles.
First off, Momsen was never a Disney corporate drone trying to cultivate a religious, good-girl image, talking about reading the Bible in her spare time, etc.
Taylor could not care less what you think, and has embraced having a bad girl persona on Gossip Girl and in life. There's just no contradiction to point out.
Taylor Momsen is even younger and racier than Miley Cyrus.
By contrast, when a Miley lap dance video surfaces, she poses topless in Vanity Fair or, well, anything about the "Can't Be Tamed" video, it's a little different.
She's grown up a lot, all right. Just not in a good way whatsoever. Momsen gets flack for her behavior, too, but hey, at least she's always up front about it.
Miley may not be a teenage slut, but she's definitely a hypocrite. The question is whether it makes her even more inappropriate than Courtney Love Jr. here.

Taylor Momsen's image is to be "reckless" whereas Miley Cyrus' image is an innocent, religious type. Taylor Momsen gets away with more because she never asked for a "good girl" image. Miley Cyrus is way more inappropriate because she has children as young as 6 following her and Taylor Momsen has always clearly had a "parental advisory" label

i love how taylor has a "i dont give a fuck" attitude, but she still is only mad at miley cause she auditioned for hannah montana. of course she hates her! but miley will be 18 very soon, so people should stop hating on her outfits. didnt she even say she was going to have an edgier look before she got the new look? its actually good for miley not doing a bunch of the disney crap anymore, but taylor is only 17, and started doing all this crap at 16(from what i know). where is taylor's mom?

Oh yeah, and I don't think it's fair that people are still holding her to things she said when she was 14 and 15. People change, espescially teenagers. She's only 5 months away from turning 18 so I don't see why people are still pulling the age card.

I don't think either girl is 'inappropriate' if you compare them to other pop stars like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Beyonce, Madonna, and Lady Gaga. Before people shout "but they're adults" ask yourself this: is it realistic to expect teenagers to behave better than adults?

I don't see why people make big everything a big deal! Miley and taylor are allowed dress in anything. Sure it might shock some of their fans but they'll get used to it. I don't think it's fair how Miley is always "picked" on about these issues. If Taylor had gotten the part of Hannah things would be a lot diffrent!

i dont think either of them are dressing too slutty or too old. i think they look great but the fact that miley has made herself up to be a religious person and an icon to children which she shouldnt have done if this was how she wanted to look. i think theres nothing wrong with her growing up but she should have been slower about the change. it seems like she just woke up one morning and decided to change her look completely. she needed to give children a chance to grow out of her before she grew out of them.

You guys need to get over the fact the Miley and Taylor are both growing up! The will not be kids forever!! So could you guys please give them some slack i mean come on! Its not like they are going to start making sex tapes and all that other crap! Give the girls a break! I agree with Mileyalltheway! If you don't like it get lost...
