Jesse James' father denounced his son yesterday for saying he was abused as a kid. But James' sister is standing by him and his allegations against their dad.

While blaming his cheating on child abuse is suspect and may be seen as a cheap cop out, Julie James England tells E! News that if nothing else, it took place.

The beleaguered star's revelations on Nightline are "completely true. I saw it," she says. "I lived there with my dad, he was very aggressive with Jesse and I."

"He did abuse Jesse."

This is not how their father remembers things, however. Larry James and his ex-wife, Janina, have denied Jesse's version of events. Not the case, Julie swears.

Julie says Janina wasn't even married to their father at the time and, in her opinion, they're speaking out now to cash in to make celebrity gossip news.

"I think they are giving stories to make money," says Julie. "Janina was married to my dad when we were teenagers. She doesn't know how angry my dad used to get."

"My [birth] mom had to be my mother and my father," England adds, dismissing her father. "She would back us up. She would do anything for her kids."

They're both estranged from their dad, Julie says, and Larry, who also said Jesse is obsessed with Nazis, has no relationship with either of their children.

Julie also tells E! News that her brother is a changed man since emerging from a 30-day sex addiction rehab program, which Jesse sought out voluntarily.

"He is breaking the mold from what he learned from my dad," Julie says. "He is owning up to the mistakes he made and is trying to move forward in life."

The Price of Beauty was more than a reality show to Jessica Simpson.

It was a calling.

"I'm not saying I'm changing the world," a teary-eyed Simpson said, accepting an award at the Gracies (which honor women in radio and TV) in Beverly Hills.

"But... to be able to sit down with my Dad and [create] The Price of Beauty, it's similar to missionary work. It was what I was called to do and called to be."

Yes. Her calling was to create a VH1 show in which she, Ken Paves and CaCee Cobb traveled the world to explore definitions of beauty in various cultures.

The Price of Beauty in Jess' case is thousands of dollars a day.

On the series, the always-astute one visited a "fattening hut" in Uganda, munched on some fried cockroaches in Thailand, and walked a couture runway in Paris, etc.

Despite lackluster ratings and bad reviews, "it's changing my life ... women are strong and there is always a life to change, and you are powerful enough to do it!"

The Gracies honored Jessica Simpson for strength and entrepreneurial endeavors in the face of adversity and public scrutiny. Seriously. She got a real award for this.

Earlier in her speech, Simpson quipped, "I'm not used to people talking so nice about me," and explained that she felt "called to the ministry" at church camp at 13.

This is pretty much the exact same thing.

Ever since a judge stuck it to her Monday and ordered her to stay clean until July 6, Lindsay Lohan's ankle bracelet has become the subject of great debate.

Is there a way of getting around it? Will she try to? Can she stay clean despite ferocious cravings for alcohol and drugs? What will happen if she fails a test?

This is something of a red herring, as addicts like Linds "use anything with alcohol to set it off, so they can say, 'Oh, I wasn't drinking. It's my perfume!'"

On Monday, a judge sentenced Lohan to wear the bracelet and undergo random drug tests until her hearing to determine if she violated her probation.

She is free on $100,000 bail, and could be jailed if she messes up. That's serious incentive not to mess with the thing (and to destroy that cocaine pic).

Lindsay may not need to bother, though. There's a legal loophole she can exploit: Getting crunked off Ambien and water. She's got a prescription! Holla!

Who will prevail in the battle of Lindsay vs. the Ankle Monitor?

It was a slow, but steady rise to the top for Lee DeWyze.

But it all paid off tonight, as the laid back rocker with the sexy, scratchy voice was crowned season nine champion on American Idol!

DeWyze peaked at the ideal time, bringing the crowd and judges to their feet with his recent rendition of "Hallelujah" last week. He then carried that momentum into the finale and defeated a worthy competitor, Crystal Bowersox.

A choked-up DeWyze accepted Ryan Seacrest's congratulations after the announcement and proceeded to sing his cover of "Beautiful Day," which will soon hit radio stations around the country.

There is nothing really controversial about Harper's Bazaar's new feature on Bristol Palin, but she does address sensitive, obvious issues such as teen pregnancy.

She admits "it was kind of humiliating" to get pregnant as a teen. "[I was thinking], 'Great, I'm 17 years old, I'm 40 pounds overweight with a big belly on me.'"

"All my friends are at school watching on the news. This kind of sucks. I thought I would be somewhere warm at college with my friends," the 19-year-old adds.

"But that was definitely not possible with having Tripp"

Bristol Palin, who is raising now 17-month-old Tripp as a single mom after ending her fake engagement from Levi Johnston, says life is not what she envisioned.

But that's also okay. Look what she got in return ...

"I love my baby more than anything. He's like a Gerber baby. He's the cutest baby in the whole world," she says. "I just want Tripp to be happy and healthy."

Bristol works as a medical assistant and serves as an ambassador to the Candie's Foundation - as an abstinence advocate, no less - to support her little son:

"I'm on my own. I'm really proud of it. I'm a hard worker. I don't have time for friends or anything. It's just like, crap, there is a hockey game tonight that I want to go to but I can't. Or, I do have to go to work today, because I've got bills to pay."

Sarah Palin says she's "very proud of her [daughter] for taking responsibility. It's not an easy road, but it's the right road. Decisions were made, and we can't unwind those decisions. Consequences are being dealt with. I'm sincerely proud of her."

Bristol says her parents had no idea she was sexually active with Levi Johnston, who says Sarah let them share a bedroom when he lived with the family.

"It's not like we sat down and were like, 'Alright, here's the birds and the bees,'" Bristol says. "Truly, my parents just assumed that I wasn't doing anything."

How bothered is Kendra Wilkinson over the release of Kendra Exposed?

"It bothers me because people are going to judge me and stuff," Kendra says. "I just hope to God nobody looks at me like a porn star or something. I just hope they don't press play because that's not me. I mean, that was me, but that's not me now."

It's true. Since the tape was filmed by ex-boyfriend Justin Frye, Wilkinson has posed naked for Playboy and used her body to make money off numerous tabloid covers. She's a totally changed woman!

Doing her best to pretend like she didn't play a major role in the video's release, Kendra lashes out at Frye:

"It broke my heart because how can you do that when I have a baby? I have a kid. I have a husband. It just sucks. It's the hardest thing to deal with right now, and it's hard on Hank. It's hard on him because it involves another guy and it's hard on him because of our son."

Speaking of a hard-on... nevermind.

Kendra also makes the point that she filmed the video before becoming a celebrity, somehow claiming this makes her different from Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton and others that are only famous because they starred in similar tapes.

In conclusion, Wilkinson is comforted by her husband telling her they must hold hands through this crisis, which will "probably be the hardest time in our lives."

Honestly, K Dubs? Shut the eff up. Everyone's hardest times should include a $680,000 payday.

During last night's Dancing With the Stars finale, Nicole Scherzinger and her partner, Derek Hough, earned the unanimous praise of all three of the judges.

Pretty much the same as how fans felt about them all season.

“I’m totally emotional,” Hough said after he and Nicole won the prestigious Mirrorball trophy. “Nicole and I burst out into tears backstage after our tango."

"We were so overwhelmed with how happy we were with what was going on tonight. Win, lose, draw we were going to be happy. But to win is phenomenal.”

“I’m kind of speechless right now,” confessed Nicole Scherzinger. "I’m going to go into a room and cry. It’s not about the trophy. It’s beyond the trophy."

"The experience and the challenge and everything you go through - this has been a lot of life-changing experiences in three months. It’s just so intense.”

Meanwhile, there were no hard feelings from talented finalists Evan Lysacek and Anna Trebunskaya or Erin Andrews and Maksim Chmerkovskiy - only praise.

“We definitely feel like we haven’t left anything on the table,” Lysacek said. “We all gave it our best shot, but Derek and Nicole were the best from day one."

“I was a mess when I came here,” said Andrews, the victim of a nude peephole video stalking scandal, said, in tears. “He was exactly what I needed.”

Like Lysacek, Andrews was thrilled to compete in the finale, and humbled by the experience. Adds Lysacek, “I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.”

On the surface, Megan Fox and Cynthia Nixon have nothing in common.

The former just got booted from a major franchise (Transformers), while the latter is currently starring in the sequel of another (Sex and the City).

Also, Nixon is a lesbian, while most men would disown their own parents for one look at Fox naked.

Who wears this dress better?

Yesterday, we spoke to celebrity trainer Nicky Holender. He made it clear that famous people are easy to whip into shape because all are accustomed to hard work and ready for more of it when it comes to losing weight.

All except the Kardashians, that is.

These talentless, lazy sisters have a triple-pronged approach to weight loss:

1. Take QuickTrim.
2. Rely on airbrushing.
3. Hire a publicist to line their pockets with magazine cover cash.

The tabloids eat it up because consumers, for reasons that defy comprehension, think that Kim Kardashian or anyone in her family has any clue at all about healthy living. Just this week alone, these two cover stories are available on newsstands:

What sage words does Kim offer about losing weight? She tells Life & Style that it's important to east breakfast. STOP THE PRESSES!

Of course, it also helps to helps to get Botox injections; and Kardashian also says she tries to get as much protein as possible throughout the day.

Cristiano Ronaldo can probably help Kim with that.

We realize that as a show about women in fashion, MTV's The City is bound to cross-promote certain magazines, designers and brands ... but this is getting ridic.

It's basically the Elle reality show at this point ... this week's title even had Elle in it. Bad as it is for Elle that Olivia Palermo works there, the PR volume makes up for it.

For us, too, it's win-win. Olivia is painful, yet provides classic quotes (see headline).

Fortunately, MTV was a non-discriminatory cross-promoting media whore of a network last night, as The N.Y. Post's Page Six and Glamour got some love, too. But why?

For a society girl, Olivia likes the attention she gets at the party way too much. Aren't they supposed to not be impressed by anything, Blair Waldorf style? Minus 17.

Roxy's LOL skirt look - "ballerina gone punk rock gone a little hooker, but in a good way" - is predictably not embraced by Glamour fashion director Sasha. Plus 10.

Kelly to Roxy Olin: "This business is made up of freaks and followers. I’m totally a freak. So you want to be a freak? That’s great but you pay the price." Plus 14.

ROXY AND A HARD PLACE: Whitney is often caught in the middle.

Olivia, regarding Seth talking to Blake Lively and Leighton Meester: “I can talk to a park bench.” LOL. What does that even mean? Blake is a park bench? Minus 25.

Joe says that an Elle item made it in Page Six. Olivia perks up, only to learn that the so-called “Belle of Elle” is new fashion director Alexis. Served! Plus 17!

Erin gives Olivia a look, delighted by Olivia’s reaction as she learns it’s not her in the press. Wash, because that was sort of cold, but we don't blame her ... at all.

At a Bergdorf Goodman party, Whit is, like, so nervous, but meets with an exec at the women’s division and makes a pitch for her line like a seasoned vet. Plus 11.

Through it all, Roxy was left in the cold, and more or less useless, with no discernible purpose on the show. But at least she's true to herself ... we guess. Minus 2.
