Paris Hilton has taken a break from harassing Doug Reinhardt with phone calls to focus on a slightly more important task:

Supporting American troops.

The socialite showed up in New York City this week at "Swinging Salute to Our Troops," an event sponsored by the USO. Even though one officer below didn't seem excited to pose with Paris, it's the thought that counts. Gotta give her props for the effort.

Earlier this spring, Kim Kardashian was also honored by the troops. What's with these guys and former sex tape stars?

We guess that answer is obvious, huh? They are still warm-blooded males, after all. They may have enormous hearts and courage that the average individual can scarcely comprehend - but they also have penises.

Talk about typecasting. Lindsay Lohan landed a role in which she has to look trashy, dress in next to nothing and lie flat on her back - pretty much her entire skill set!

Amazingly, the photos below weren't taken during a typical night out on the Hollywood club scene, but for posters promoting her upcoming porn star biopic Inferno.

Lohan plays Linda Lovelace, the late porno legend famous for her role in Deep Throat. The pics used in the posters below were taken by photographer Tyler Shields.

We thought Lindsay looked like she was ready for Cinemax in previous photos Shields took of her. Who would have guessed that wasn't even that far off the mark.

Hopefully Lohan's ankle bracelet won't get in the way of the many tricky maneuvers she likely must perform as part of this rigorous role. That would be a shame.

Miley Cyrus is about to make her primetime, network television debut.

Just a few days before her new album is released on June 22, ABC will air a one-hour special titled Miley Cyrus: Live from London.

It will be centered around footage from the singer's concert at O2 Arena in England, which was part of her Wonder World Tour. According to an ABC press release:

The program captures how Miley, who has grown up in the public eye, has grown as an artist, and reveals her natural progression and sophistication. The concert is gleaned from the full-length concert that will be available for sale June 22 on the deluxe version of Miley’s album.

Look for Cyrus to perform some of her biggest hits during the program, such as “Seven Things,” “Party in the USA” and “The Climb.”

We're sure Miley will explain to the world why she can't be tamed, as well.

This special airs on June 18 at 8 p.m. Will you tune in for it?

We found out a surprising fact this week on The Real Housewives of New York City: it actually is possible to be too crazy on this show.

As a result of her nutty antics, Kelly Bensimon packed up and left early from the group's trip to the Virgin Islands. How did producers ensure the craziness continued in her absence? THG's Real Housewife correspondent is here with a recap and the answer...

Our beloved housewives have been on a luxury vacation in the Virgin Islands for the last few episodes.  Ramona planned the trip as part of her “renewal” and to celebrate the fact that she and husband Mario will soon be renewing their vows.  Kelly, Bethenny, Alex, and new housewife Sonja came along.  This vacation looks truly fabulous: 

First lounging about on a well-staffed yacht; then parking at an exotic and enormous villa and spending the next few days there eating chef-prepared food in costly bikinis. 

Unfortunately, the bliss was an illusion because no one was having that great of a time.  Kelly packed a big bag full of crazy and opened it up to share with everyone else.  Initially the target of her rage and insanity was pregnant Bethenny but, after awhile, anyone seemed poised for a nonsensical attack. Kelly truly was acting like she was having a breakdown. 

It makes me wonder if this is how the show was edited or if Kelly really is that nuts.  After days and days of endless fighting these women looked like they were having just as much fun on their vacation as Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio were at the end of Revolutionary Road.  Not pretty.

After watching Kelly come apart at the seams for a few days, the other women decide they are dealing with a truly sick individual.  They agree to do their best to calm and reassure Kelly as opposed to arguing back when she says psycho stuff. “Ladies, this is us picking on a woman who needs help,” says Sonja.  The other housewives agree and the drama cools.  Kelly eventually leaves the trip early, to the relief of the other women.  Sonja sums up the feelings toward Kelly when she says:

“I felt bad for Kelly. This woman at this point had lost the run of herself.  I’d never been around that before and it was pretty scary.”  Scary is right.  Kelly was alternately laughing diabolically, crying, running like a linebacker through the villa, stuffing jelly beans in her mouth, and talking trash.

It won't be long until former TV producer Bruce Beresford-Redman is arrested for killing his wife.

According to the suspect's attorney, Jaime Cancino Leon, prosecutors will make their decision early next week - and the most likely charge will be first-degree murder, stemming from the death of Monica Beresford-Redman last month in Cancun.

Cancino told TMZ he's displeased with Mexican officials because it's easier for them to simply charge his client than actually investigate the case.

"Bruce has never had the chance to defend himself," the lawyer said. "They didn't even give him the chance to participate in the investigation."

If a Mexican judge determines there's probable cause to charge Beresford-Redman, he'll likely get extradited to that country. A conviction of of first-degree murder there results in a prison sentence of four to 20 years.

** UPDATE: As of Monday, May 31, 2010, these charges have been filed.

Simon Monjack has been buried next to Brittany Murphy following a service attended by 75 friends and family members at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in L.A.

“It was Simon's wish to be laid to rest next to her," said family spokesman Roger Neal at the private orthodox Jewish service. Monjack died on Sunday night.

The got to be together one last time as a rendition of Murphy singing a rendition of “Smile,” featuring Simon Monjack on the piano, was played to mourners.

A photo of the couple also sat on Monjack’s casket.

Tragically and appropriately, Simon and Brittany are together again.

"Sharon (Brittany’s mom) was strong and spoke at the service about how much she loved Simon, and how now Simon and Brittany are together,” added Neal.

"She told them, 'I'll miss you my babies.' She is understandably feeling devastated by the loss of a daughter and a son-in-law in the space of six months."

Monjack died in the house he shared with Murphy and her mother, who called 911 after finding both of them unconscious in the same room, months apart.

The preliminary cause of death for Simon has been listed as natural causes, not a drug overdose, though the L.A. Coroner’s office is conducting an autopsy.

Rest in peace, Simon and Brittany.

Looks like Alicia Keys is in a baby - and wedding - state of mind.

After much speculation, the Grammy-winning songbird's rep confirms that she's pregnant with her and producer Swizz Beatz's first child - and engaged!

The couple will get married later this year.

This is the first child for 29-year-old Keys, while Swizz Beatz, 31, has two sons from previous relationships. The couple has been together for years.

Keys' current four-month-long Freedom Tour wraps up on June 4. She'll also perform at the Fifa World Cup's kickoff concert June 10 in South Africa.

Reports first surfaced that Alicia Keys was engaged to Swizz Beatz back in January, but were not confirmed. Looks like that was true - well it is now!

Congratulations to the happy couple!

Gary Coleman is hospitalized and in critical condition, according to reports.

The former star of Diff'rent Strokes was admitted to the intensive care unit at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo, Utah, the day before yesterday.

The star's manager revealed little if anything when asked by E! News: "We're just getting bits and pieces right now, so there's really nothing to report."

Coleman's brother said he had sustained a head injury after a fall.

Gary Coleman's health is failing. Get well soon, man.

As a result of the kidney disease he suffered as a child, the 42-year-old Coleman has been plagued with serious health problems throughout adulthood.

He has had at least two kidney transplants and ongoing dialysis; this February, he had a seizure on the set of The Insider. He had heart surgery in 2009.

Coleman has lived in Utah since 2005; he married wife Shannon Price in 2007. He was arrested for domestic violence against Price back in January.

Finally, a reality show that will still take Jason Wahler.

Hey, he's a reality TV star and needs to be in rehab. It's a good fit. The rumor is that Celebrity Rehab and its venerable host Dr. Drew will welcome Wahler. Why?

Back in the day, he got arrested four times in four different states for four drinking-related offenses in under a year. That's up there with DMX and Pete Doherty!

Then this year, he had a career resurgence, notching a pair in as many nations! Yep, he was nailed for DUI in L.A. soon after getting sprung from a Mexican jail.

Yeah ... rehab might be a good idea for the man.

Jason Wahler hasn't signed a deal yet, but his people (who apparently exist) are working on it behind the scenes, and we doubt he'd pass up a chance to be on TV.

No word if this means he will no longer do prison time, or if the rehab stint would be in addition to a jail sentence he is likely looking at for violating his probation.

We just hope they sign Stephanie Pratt and/or Kristin Cavallari to join him on the program. The Hills has some good candidates. Even Heidi Montag for that matter.

A middle-aged, overweight woman crying and cursing and screaming at the results of American Idol? Less than adorable.
