Justin Bieber at the White House: On Drums, Looking Cute

by at . Comments

First, the cast of Glee. Now, Justin Bieber.

Targeting the tween demographic, Barack Obama made one of his smartest decisions as President this weekend: he asked the 16-year old crooner to perform at the 2010 Easter Egg Roll on the South Lawn of the White House.

Bieber entertained fans with “One Time” and “Baby," telling those in attendance:

“What a lovely crowd. How many of you guys think it’s a beautiful day out here? It’s a beautiful day! It’s a good time to play my new song, "U Smile."

All About the Hair

From there, Bieber put on a rendition of classic singles, including Michael Jackson’s “Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’” and Aerosmith’s “Walk This Way.”

He even took to the drums on the latter song, as shown in the following video. First, though, check out a few more photos of Justin Bieber from this weekend's festivities:

This young man better enjoy the glory now; he has a mediocre-to-poor voice, and according to much I have read and seen, a rather "big head". Most of what he sings is not at all difficult to sing - songs with little range requiring little vocal control. Therefore, most of it sounds exactly the same. I wish him the best (especially if can learn some humility), but teen idols without much "real" talent don't last long.

The kid is a spoiled brat,,and a flash in the pan,,,enjoy it now,,it won't last,,sorry, but with your attitude,,you are shswing a side I don't care for,,,you are not God's gift if you were you would have more humility,,,you are not mature enough to carry this load,,you have a lot of growing up to do,,,there are many young singers who are just as good but have not had an opportunity like you,,so grew up,,you have a lot of responsibility on your back,,

omg he is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:]

I'm an over-40 female who enjoys listening to everything from Aretha Franklin to Megadeth and I totally disregarded what I considered another flash-in-the-pan "tween" sensation. Then, flipping through TV channels, I caught Justin Bieber on QVC (singing live!) and on Chelsey Lately - this young man has talent! In his live QVC stint, you could hear a voice that is going to be great once it matures and if all these "hit making" record producers stop making him sing crap, which I guess he has to do to make money. But he has a really good voice, good personality, great sense of humor and, if he stays humble, a good career ahead of him. Good luck, Justin.
